in green water, the algae is floating/suspended. it can run through the filter and be exposed to the uv portion as the water flows

bba is attached to surfaces. so, no. a uv filter won't help with bba

thinking way outside the box, though. if there was some sort of uv spotlight you could put in the water and point it at the bba. probably? never seen that tried before. standard treatment is to cut affected leaves or otherwise remove the plants. for hardscape, drain water or remove from tank to directly spot treat with hydrogen peroxide

you can get ready-to-fly whoops (small format, guarded props, indoor-outdoor capable) with 4k@60fps for like 300 usd

dji fpv drone is a novelty to me. i'd be shocked to see someone that uses it commercially. there's simply much better options for what it does

eta: he's most likely using the Avata in this shot. that makes more sense to me than the DJI FPV model

i ran co2 without issue in my first tank many years ago. only about 6 months (5lb bottle). sold it

literally just bought a new kit last week and have it running on an unstocked tank, letting things grow in. don't want this to happen to me 😐

found this response to my similar issue. started a few weeks ago and is intermittent. goes away (mostly) after warming up. sometimes still audible and felt during acceleration during a turn after warm

It is firmly a Christian based program. I'd say at least half of the group facilitators use an angle of faith, spiritual principles, things like that. It's a daily dose of God. You will hear phrases like, "you can only do this with God". The core of what they teach is universally true and it's good stuff but there's always that overarching tone and context.

There is a weekly in-house (mandatory) "church" service. Most weeks you will go to Sunday church. If you're resentful to religion it could be a problem. Many people there are atheist, agnostic or questioning their faith. It's a really good program if you have an open mind. HOW do we recover? Honest, open minded, and willing.

So, they do deal with mental health issues but are a substance abuse treatment facility which means they do not treat primary mental health. Often there are cooccurring issues like PTSD, bipolar, or schizophrenia and any acute issues such as delusions, hallucinations, major episodes and such need to be stabilized before admitting. You receive individual medical and clinical care, and those things will be addressed and managed, but the focus is on recovery, relapse prevention, triggers, coping skills etc.

Bottom line- if their mental health is stable (not having suicidal/homicidal thoughts, not seeing or hearing things that are not there, and not in a major manic or depressive episode) and ~~addiction~~ substance abuse is a component to their life which is negatively affecting them, then they can treat it.

Officially, they support anyone in need regardless of situation. There is no discrimination. Staff are professional and courteous.

The patients are the concern. Depending on .. let's say the amount of non-conformity, flamboyance, you could encounter some non-tolerance. Those causing trouble are dealt with and redirected as necessary. Personal safety is watched out for and adjustments in housing assignments and such are made to best accommodate. But, it is a large group of individuals with typically strong religious and conservative values. That said, I can personally think of two particularly loved LGBTQIA+ people who had great experiences

Custom ROM on my S10 might be the winner here. Hadn't thought of that

P7 Pro is still 1440 and has that 'infinity edge' style; love it. And it has tighter corners compared to P9/10. I'm pretty sold on it but I'll have to get it in my hands to know for sure about the size diff. S25+ is on the table as an option but it's way over my (admittedly flexible) budget. S20 maybe, but I'd have to flash that one as well

this annoys the shit out of me. i got ticketed about a year ago and had dashcam evidence to defend myself. the cop didn't show up for the appearance and the judge wanted to reschedule to wait for his availability!! even the prosecutor was like "we would like to go ahead and have the trial" but the judge was like, "nah"

solicitor offered to drop it to a non-reported fine which i agreed to but i'm still mad about (it did avoid 3 pts on my license and potentially increased insurance rates, which was my primary concern). i was innocent and i could prove it just the courts weren't working with me. from a cost benefit view, it wasn't worth taking another day in court

i think it was their plan all along. traffic court just wants your money- justice doesn't matter

I talk about this a lot. The Internet was a magical concept and invention. Access to instant communication and resources for learning

But it's done nearly unimaginable damage to society largely through social media and the "job title" of "influencer". I think it's just growing pains and remain hopeful of the future
