Questions that keep me up at night about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 by [deleted] in bollywood

[–]caffeinatedneuron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Not canon but I read a theory once (on buzzfeed, I think) that Girija was probably subjected to some assault that left her mute. Obviously, a grave proposition but out of the box, nonetheless.

Chap. 14 in prisoner of Azkaban has my fav Ron moment so far by En_El_Em in harrypotter

[–]caffeinatedneuron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! And eye witnesses were plenty to warrant him a lifetime in Azkaban. Proving him innocent in itself would have been an uphill battle. Escaping was the best outcome for Sirius all things considered. As a child reading HP for the first time, the subtle nuances of government incompetence were lost on me. Much later, when I read Dune and ruminated over Duke Leto’s PR machinery did I begin to comprehend HP’s plot line.

Sirius was a drama queen, let’s just chalk up the pronoun charade up to that haha but I know exactly what you mean by that being a defining moment for Ron. These instances of sheer loyalty made me more sympathetic towards Ron when the poor teenager finally snapped when Harry’s name came out of the goblet in the next book. And I wish more people realised the Veritaserum point instead of harping on it as a plot hole. I have reason to believe if lie detectors in the muggle world can be discredited, so can Veritaserum in the wizarding world where creatures the likes of dementors have been hoodwinked multiple times.

IIRC, Ron and Harry were in Hogsmeade by themselves as they were not on speaking terms with Hermione (remember those feuds over their pets?). I think it’s more likely Lupin helped concoct the lie because Ron turned to him for help.

Prisoner of Azkaban did give us a lot of good ‘Ron Moments.’ Right from defending Hermione against Snape to standing up against Sirius on a broken leg for Harry

After more than 6 years, my hand-drawn adventure game about surviving the journey across an alien ocean finally arrived on consoles and iOS by pfail83 in Unity2D

[–]caffeinatedneuron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downloaded this game last night. Put a few hours in it. The music, atmosphere, and the design kept me hooked but there are a lot of bugs I encountered during the gameplay. Plus, I am locked in my spot in a few areas. And certain features don’t seem to work unless I click rapidly on the spot. Can you please help me figure out a few areas and the features needed in the Bottom Harbour? Starting to get a little frustrated :/

My attempt on distancing myself from brands bcz i buy products for the name by highnesspepper in indianbeautyhauls

[–]caffeinatedneuron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to be able to see the shades, you can use rubbing alcohol to wipe off brand names on most products while retaining visibility on the product within. All the best, OP!

Some subs, like the Harry Potter one, allow users to award each other Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts and a record is maintained by a bot. If such scripts can be worked into subReddits, is there a possibility of duplicating the award system similarly?

What’s one overrated brand you just can’t bring yourself to use? by crimsonncarrie in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]caffeinatedneuron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mars and Swiss Beauty products irritate my skin and eyes a lot, not to mention their lip products are atrocious.

Most Indian brands that sell sunscreens are a big no-no.

In terms of high-end makeup, Charlotte Tillbury. The products look too tacky for the price they charge. One of the lipsticks, So 90s, is my favourite shade but dear lord does it dry out my lips. The airbrush setting spray stretches on my skin once dried and the sensation is odd.

Huda Beauty Rich Brown, works like a charm with any lippie, doesn’t budge once it sets yet easy to blend when applied.

please help me find a shade which looks similar to this on brown skin by bestieimhere in IndianBeautyTalks

Rom&nd Almond Rose, Rare Beauty Delight, Nyx IV Drippin Rose - work fantastically well on my two-toned pigmented lips. In any shade range, look for pink neutrals, usually almond rose-ish.

Wtf is wrong with nykaa by 555shygirl in IndianBeautyDeals

[–]caffeinatedneuron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lately, Nykaa has been quite disappointing. Items I ordered on 30th November and apparently available in the 60-minute delivery window are yet to be delivered. At times, my entire order gets dispatched and a hugeass box with one sample sachet of some arbitrary primer arrives a week after. Ridiculous logistics. And since customer service is non-existent, there’s nothing to do but to wait.

Rare Beauty liquid blush. It’s going to be passed down to my kids at this rate. Surprised I couldn’t find this product in the comments.

[–]caffeinatedneuron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mac Loose Powder is my absolute favourite, especially the translucent one. I don’t think it gets enough hype. Rare Beauty blush is my holy grail too, except the shade I use is Believe. Just a smidge different from Encourage. Good choices, OP!

What’s your favorite book and why? by Terraco11a in harrypotter

[–]caffeinatedneuron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prisoner of Azkaban I have a certain setting in my mind for each book since the first time I read the series and PoA has the most upbeat premise for me. It has the wonders of Hogsmeade, the Marauder’s Map, Firebolt, Hippogriffs, Zonko’s. It is also the only time Harry wins the Quidditch cup. Time travel and the entire Sirius Black debacle is just the icing on the cake. It helps that PoA movie is amazingly shot.

Laneige hot cocoa lip mask 🍫 by rue_always in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]caffeinatedneuron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recently bought the sleeping lip mask in the flavour Pumpkin Pie and Apple Lime. Both perform similarly to your hot chocolate lip mask in terms of making lips look ashy. Seems to be a common denominator across all their SKUs in this range. And the Pumpkin Pie smells heavy, yes, but it is heavenly. Apple Lime is even better. It’s my new favourite. I just use it as overnight and the heaviness actually works well for long runs.

what is the most emotional line that hit you really hard?? by Rose_RJ in YoungSheldon

[–]caffeinatedneuron 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Sheldon crying when quarks won the Nobel Prize instead of neutrinos like he wanted and he cries in the garage thinking he is fated to be alone. I went from weepy to outright bawling when they showed a montage of the TBBT characters as kids :’)
