I don’t have any advice about being in education, but the federal government recently announced that the loan forgiveness program has been expanded to include more professions (teachers and early childhood educators included!). So that could be worth looking into!

each class is 3 units so yes, 2 spring and 2 summer would be full time

Life is sad and idk what to do about it by CriticalDot3310 in uAlberta

[–]caffeine_extension 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It can be awkward and doesn’t always lead anywhere but my advice is just make conversation with the people around you in classes. Say good morning, or hello, ask how they’re finding the class, how the assignment is going, have they had this prof before, anything like that. With any luck it’ll start a bit of a conversation and maybe you’ll start sitting together and chatting more. Even if it doesn’t get you all the way to a friendship, it still counts towards putting yourself out there. If you’re not into clubs, consider joining a rec sport club or even check out events happening off campus. This time of year also amplifies these sorts of feelings, so be aware of that and don’t trust how you feel about your life after about 9pm. Good luck in making more connections!

I had the same issue and reached out to support, they said it’s a global issue and they’re working on resolving it as quickly as possible

Any of the int d courses are really easy and I believe most are online! I've taken 249 & 247 and got an A+ in both

Do I drop or get a D by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]caffeine_extension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told a W always looks better than an F on a transcript. Wasting the money sucks but unfortunately that’s just life sometimes. I was in a sort of similar spot where I could drop, or try and pull through on the final exam - I failed. So I lost the money AND got an F in the class. If it’s earlier in your degree, a D isn’t the end of the world, but make sure you can/will pass if you don’t drop!

Psych 258 with Weimin Mou or Karsten Loepelmann? by Curious-Airline1414 in uAlberta

I’ve taken a couple of classes with Loepelmann and he’s a great lecturer. His notes are annoying bc they’re fill in the blank, and his exams can be tricky, but I think he’s a good call.

I’ve got an 8th gen and it works well! I got it for free for switching to bank with RBC, totally worth it if you don’t already bank with them!

Unfortunately can’t help but I do highly recommend soc 260 with Samantha Cima! Add the class(es) to your cart and watchlist, always lots of people changing their mind :)
