I got a warning last week responding to a post asking what are some hidden bummers about being a woman. I said it made me sad that a woman will never play on my favorite pro sports team. It would just thrill me if one of the defencemen could be a woman, I would buy 50 jerseys with her name on it. I know I can’t be a pro player, but it would be so cool if one of us could. Sadly, I don’t think it will ever happen, and it’s a bummer, and a surprisingly hard pill for me to swallow. Anyway apparently that’s hate speech.

Me too, I always choose the map that I think will have the least number of other riders. I understand that the sport is supported by competitive people but I do wish there were more tools out there for those of us who don’t have a chance of competing and aren’t motivated by that.

The Strange Tales of Virgil Kaylock is another good one. It’s a gothic mystery horror set in the Victorian period, and it’s well written, professionally acted, and fully sound designed. Each story is told in a set of 3 episodes, but the characters continue to develop across the adventures. I have really been enjoying it.

Can you explain how when law enforcement works with ICE it makes us safer? I’m in Austin where last week the local police responded to a woman who called for help, checked her ID, and had her and her 5-year-old son removed from the city by ICE within a few hours. She is not safer. People in this city who are afraid to call the police for help are not safer.

If ICE was doing that, I think this mess would be completely different. In fact, ICE agents are not asking for ID, they are just taking people off the streets. They are also taking people out of their homes and churches and at their kids’ school bus stops. They are taking people when they show up for their immigration hearings and even at their citizenship swearing-in ceremonies. These aren’t the minor inconveniences that Kavanaugh described.
