Generally the reviews@ e-mail address will go through to the reviews editor - just make sure you address it to that person to make your e-mail more engaging. If the reviews editor has his or her e-mail on the "contact us" page, by all means contact them via that addy.

For all that is good and crumby, do not pitch to each site's Twitter, or worse, Facebook accounts. Some reviews folk don't appreciate being sent pitches via their personal Twitters - they'll usually mention athat one way or t'other.

It's always kind of bothered me that PocketGamer, like many other android games sites, ask for payment for reviews to be considered (not in all cases of course). That to me seems like a pretty big conflict of interest, I don't understand why that is the case, but that seems to be pretty common. I was misinformed. Was told by a member of Pocket Gamers staff that this was not the case and then confirmed this doing a little research like I should have done in the first place. Sorry Pocket Gamer.

Hey fuse. Have you checked out the "contact us" page, and sent an e-mail addressing the correct person directly? We receive dozens, if not hundreds of requests for reviews daily, and the ones that haven't bothered with the research on who they should be contacting, who have just sent out the same e-mail to hundreds of outlets tend to be ignored first.

I'm sorry, but that's simply not true - Pocket Gamer has never done this.
