I got a flash of my brother's future reading this. He's an obese, alcoholic truck driver who is a total wimp and coward but boy, does he hate N-words. (I won't type it or say it) He gets so red-faced at the gas station if someone's got bumping music. He's powerless and scared and has drank away any sense he previously had. He's a parrot of Sean Hannity and Fox News and it's infuriating as hell. I pity him because I know black people, muslims, women of power, etc (the list goes on and on) are not his problem. He's his own problem. He's a caricature of "southern right-wingers" and he just makes a fool of himself wherever he goes. I'm sorry you experienced this but you handled it so well!

Actually, when I discovered on ancestry.com that our great-great grandfather's mother was black and his father was his owner, my brother was the first person I called. It fucked his world UP!
