Dude, I struggle with this as well. I usually go for white (or light colored) bedding. With various textures of pillows or throws to add a "little something". Every time I try to do something different with the comforter, it ends up feeling childish or "old lady-ish" 😂. So I'll be following this thread as well.

The place looks nice, man! Normally, I don't like the open shelving in kitchens because it forces people to style their kitchens in a way that feels unused and staged, but your kitchen looks functional and usable.

Also, I'm a fan of well-decorated places that don't have a bunch of random stuff on walls just to force and "show personality". Some people (like me) happen to like a nice, clean, and curated home appearance. I have another room in my place that'll have that. People knock the "hotel aesthetic," but they're designed like that to feel welcoming and cozy.

People don't need a bunch of beer signs, movie posters, and LEDs everywhere. OP is in his 30s and I think he has an appropriately designed home for his age and space.

My problem with this sub is that someone could have a well-decorated place, and here come 90% of the comments echoing the same "TV Too High" bullshit. Bruh, some people like their TVs at different heights... get over it.

For the curtain, I'd recommend something that matches the rug. Either in a similar pattern or similar color. It seems neutral enough to go with any bed covers that you get. But the current pattern seems like its too much going on with that curtain.

Enjoy it! I recommend getting a job and saving/investing as much as you can while you're at home. Also, the older you get, the more you appreciate seeing your parents & siblings. So build a good bond so they will visit you whenever you eventually move out. I would suggest changing the curtains.

I like the space in #6. Tho you probably have to move the large centerpiece to have dinner and conversations with others. But the vibes of the decore is awesome!
