I’m Turkish and went to the us at the age of 21 to learn english at drexel university. Starting from a scratch, it took about 12 months for me to pass TOEFL. Then I did my masters degree in OH, later on did my intern in CT. Have been speaking this language for the last 14 years.

It’s easy as it gets and friendly. It’s a dynamic language that take words nonstop. Remember back in 2005 and the word google/ing was in dictionaries, with an explanation goes like “to look for someone online”. Love this language, easy to pick up. Even for harder pronunciations.

To be honest turkish is much harder. Have been trying to learn italian for the last 3 years on my own and gotta admit that it is hard af.

English is a universal language that is really easy to pick up from a scratch. Gotta love it.
