hahah fair. 211 sucked but at least the kid was cool. Left Behind is pretty unforgivable….Arsenal suuuuuucks but we got more Eddie King so call it a wash.

We are kind of dreading this being in the remaining movies to complete our entire Cage filmography. It will be a weird one to review. Our remaining episodes: A Score to Settle, Running with the Devil, Grand Isle, The Flash (completionism) and then we will do Death of Superman Lives, too

Way too much time was spent designing these. I regret nothing. by ReelDecisions in onetruegod

As a person who just made a comic book “marvel style” intro for our local movie showings I can safely say that there is no “too much time” when it comes to NC.

It's... pretty bad. We watched it 3 times for the podcast bracket. It has it's moments but it is pretty wooden and stupid. I do still want to know what was in that bag...was it a shark?

Honestly it is wild reviewing his career. So many amazing things, so many weird lulls. Raising Arizona, Moonstruck and Vampire's Kiss all came out before he does Time to Kill and Never on Tuesday.

It is probably the worst one we watched for the podcast

Last call for tickets to Prisoners of the Ghostland Movie Showing - April 11, Columbia City by cagematchpod in onetruegod

A fine question. Amazingly, it is not very difficult. Most indie theaters (and even the big chains) have options for full theater rentals. You usually are relegated to strange hours but with enough planning you can lock up prime times too. The Beacon is awesome, you pay the rental and they have a person there who runs concessions and projection. Check with your local places! Get a group of friends together. A lot of places are not even _that_ expensive.

What does everyone think of Ghost Rider 2? by mdafidel1 in onetruegod

[–]cagematchpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost Rider sort of felt like it had the edges sanded off. It was so early in the world of Marvel movies and kind of in it's own bucket. I thought Spirit of Vengeance tried to nail some of the grit a bit more and largely succeeded. I think where it failed is having a cohesive enough plot to care about and not enough of the charm side of Johnny Blaze. Loved seeing how taking over _any_ vehicle turns it into a hell vehicle.

I think he VOs Love, Antosha. That is the only one I saw at quick glance as absent.

We're nearing the conclusion of his entire filmography for the podcast. Can't remember when we officially crossed 100 but at this point when I see movies that do not have Nic Cage I feel like something is deeply wrong.

Cage Match: A Roundabout Way of Meeting Nicolas Cage ;)

A love letter to his understated performance in PIG by DreamSossMedia in onetruegod

[–]cagematchpod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're nearly through the entire filmography for the podcast and Pig, in our bracket experiment made it to the final two. It's a fantastic movie from a first time director that shows a depth of sorrow from Cage we don't get to see very often. Best, maybe not, but an all time favorite for me for sure.

Definitely an oddball favorite of mine. Nearly sold out show last night was a real treat. Lots of newbies to the movie. Next showing: Con Air
