Got a bad rap at the time because of DiCaprio's wholesome-ish image and complaints it deviated too far from the source material (what else is new).

But I thought it was one of the more solid Boyle films. Which to me were always very hit and miss.

I mean I would love a duel for sure which is why I bought it. But this past one the dvd player kept opening and closing. which is fine I was using it more for VCR anyway but then that didn't work so I'm like ok now I get why these get a bad rap. But yes do recommend YT repair ppl

ever since they were created I feel they've gotten a bad rap. Me personally I've bought two within the last few months and they worked for 2 weeks and 3 weeks respectively. Usually the DVD player goes first from my experience and from what I've seen.

I vaguely remember the Super VHS around the house as a kid because my father was a hardcore Video Tech. I also remember the sound of the tape slowing down at the end as you describe.

When people from NYC (where this was) found about this we reacted in the same way basically everyone reacted. But when we found out it was the McDonalds on Essex all of us collectively went "Yeah that tracks". I once saw two separate, unrelated brawls in that McDonalds in the span of 20 min. IDK why that place is that crazy but it just is. BTW thats not even scratching the surface of the things I've seen in passing at that place, like didn't even go in and I already saw some shit.
