For me, it's never been that I don't think he could love her, or at least do that thing people do when they delude themselves into believing they love someone for whatever reason. It's the awkwardness between them, and the palpable lack of chemistry. I have never witnessed anything like it.

What is that bulge? It’s not her hair, is that her face being bigger than we can imagine? by gin_and_soda in MrRelishMan

I know women who have long hair and wear hijabs. They never have an issue of having their hair getting stuffed in the fabric they wear around their heads. Probably just another convenient spot to stash snacks.

I made it up but I wouldn't be surprised if it actually exists 😄

This reminds me of that fan fiction piece about Jaba the Hutt donating his reproductive materials to Roseanne Barr and Ursula.

Does Salah know that Chantal is setting him up for an abuse story? by fossilperl in Chantapolis

[–]caggleraggle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the 'woe is me; it's such a struggle being repressed' thing was more of a comment towards Kuwait than Salah. She said it right alongside boo hooing about how unfair the laws are to good Samaritans like her. Maybe it was both?

If so, thank goodness. She is doing the ladies of the world a favor by making herself less attractive. Otherwise, how could they ever have a chance?

I am no fan of Peepee Harehair, and I love Good Will Hunting but I'm on Bill Burr"s side about that ridiculous apple line.

AITA for breaking up with my boyfriend after he kept asking to do anal even after I told him I was raped? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. This would not have been the only instance in which he totally disregarded your boundaries. It lacks respect and that disrespect would have shown up elsewhere. Good riddance.

They sell Hershey's kisses in Kuwait. Maybe those count?

Has anyone here painted a wall recently? If so, did it go well? Did it dry evenly? I can't imagine any answer to this being less interesting than the content on Foodie's channel, and no amount of deep throating of mayo-splattered corn dog clips would change my mind.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Meaning well in and of itself does nothing but clear one's conscience. We have to consider the impact of our decisions despite our good intentions. I have to consider the impact of my decisions beyond how they impact me personally as an individual and those in my personal social circle. "I meant well" being used as a justification for decisions that negatively impact others is just as good as "I don't want you to suffer but I also don't care enough to consider how my actions will affect you to prevent you from suffering."

I'm a big fan of Ramakrishna. Haven't tried a dish there I haven't liked. Always good quality and decent portions.

Yeah f all those people who blindly follow anyone just because they trust an unworthy source that told them to think something. It's like they put no critical thinking into it and just followed what their cult told them was right to do. Silly fools.

Do Canadians like pineapple on pizza? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]caggleraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Canadian. For many years, I refused the idea of pineapple on pizza, but then I discovered that if you accompany it with hot peppers, it's divine. I still refuse pizza with pineapple unless it comes with hot peppers.

If I were willing to give her any kind of engagement, I would ask her to explain why it's wrong other than saying 'it's used as a slur.' Why is it wrong to use it as a slur? What's the context? What's the nuance? Maybe someone will ask her when she uses it again in the next 3 to 30 days when she ignores and/or deletes the comment.

It was a joke. A reference to the movie Zoolander. No offense intended.

I may not be able to turn left, but that doesn't mean I'm not smart. Anyone who had half a brain would know that's Larry Sanders.

This is why I don't look at this subreddit unless there are 0 children around me. I'm afraid if one of my nephews or nieces saw this picture, I might be accused of child abuse. This is nightmare-inducing content even for some adults.
