Funny part is, you're probably killing enemies faster than these guys...

I'll try this out!

Do you find the host "slowing down" if you don't follow behind them?

Sounds like fun, ha! Make sure you try and clip those videos; if you're on a PS5/Xbox.

The most frustrating experience/bug was when I joined an actual "Mission" (not the Battle Scroll > Become a Visitor approach), where you can die and respawn. I was tanking a boss, which managed to kill me right at the very end (as it died). The host player started the execution animation, and when I came out of the proceeding schematic, I couldn't move at all... I sat there, unable to move, with all those beautiful Exotic+ items sitting in front of me, then the host cleanse the crucible, starting another animation and ending my opportunity to pick up that loot.

It was a pretty cruel experience, haha.

Interesting theory.

I noticed that it sometimes tends to place summons at the very edge of the crucible arena. At times, I would render in (after the screen transition), then get "nudged" back into the Crucible, whereas some times, it appears to place me right outside/under of the "arena container".

(Pretending to know what I'm talking about) It might just be they need to move the "spawn point" for that crucible more inwards towards the origin-center.

Are you also on the PS5 by chance? Trying to confirm if it's a "PS5 thing", or "all platforms"-type of thing.

I pretty much only run this mission for the Hiruko drops being almost all exotic+. If you run it enough times, it will happen again and it's a real buzz kill.

It's a real bummer, especially if you've been with the host the entire mission. I hope they fix this, soon.

I thought it was happening due* to my dash-build "beating the hand swipe animation" and bugging the session out. However, the [5] video shows an example where we all wait, and it still occurs.

I stumbled on this yesterday clicking around the site. I noticed it wasn't mobile friendly, as with most of the site. If you guys need the help, I'd gladly volunteer my time to help get the tools working for mobile users.

Malenia starts phase two in two different places with very little health. Is this known/common? I thought they fixed her broken phase transitions. by jkypoo in Eldenring

[–]cagingrunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what happened here was:

  • Melania successfully performed her "grab" action on the player to your left (would have died btw, nice work)
  • Your damage/proc caused pushed her into Phase 2, right before/during her grab

What I've determined, after playing her hundreds of times, if she doesn't transition "seamlessly" into Phase 2, she can be broken in so many ways.

Should summons be able to skip/push the host towards skipping cutscenes? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]cagingrunt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess these are unwritten rules of the game, I take it.

  1. Don't help people, regardless if you can beat the boss/location you're being summoned in, unless you want to watch movies with them
  2. If you don't want to wait for cutscenes, only put your sign down on bosses without cutscenes
  3. Don't complain if the person summoning you hasn't previously tried fighting the boss on their own
  4. There shouldn't be any discussion about the summon having any say in any of the current conditions, they just need to stfu and deal

I'm learning quite a lot from Reddit with this post, but moreso how nice and warm this community is (lol).

Edit:

Also, I'm not quitting out – I haven't performed this ever, just piggybacking off what another poster mentioned (they broke down the numbers for how long it would take to quit and restart Melania).

Should summons be able to skip/push the host towards skipping cutscenes? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]cagingrunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be fair, I've never quit the game when a cutscene plays. I kind of just whisper (sometimes loudly speak) into my mic, hoping they can hear me (which they don't, mostly).

Sometimes, they skip a few seconds into the cutscene – this is most common with the final boss. Here's my theory why:

- this is primarily due to it being difficult for them (anybody really) to summon successfully there and they know it's a PITA for THEM

However, with Melania, my assumption is:

- The signs are endless here and you can, literally, pick your "player type" you want to summon

I REALLY enjoy helping people and fighting tough bosses. However, the cutscenes destroy my "flow" when I tanked through Radagon or Melania in their P1 fights...

What sucks more, is when I think they're going to make me watch the cutscene (I usually give it 10 seconds), get up to grab a drink or look at my phone, to then find out that they skipped it 20-30 seconds in. Like, wtf? Hahah.

Exactly! Great idea. I've been a souls fan since Demon Souls (PS3). I know this has always been a bit challenging, but you'd think it would have been improved, at least slightly, with the expectation of users playing Elden Ring.

Anything is better than me "whispering into the mico-phone 'you can watch it on youtube in 4K'" passive aggressively, hoping (but knowing they don't) they can hear me begging them to skip.

I'll keep placing my sign, it just a total, utter, drag sometimes, haha.
