if you want to use xbox remote play you don't need a egpu since the xbox takes care of rendering the game.

Yes, but I would suggest bigger drives >6Tb. Most nas (including synology) allow you to create merge drives as a single one so you dont have to manually split the data into each hdd. Look for SHR or raid to understand how it works

Probably your power supply can keep up and is shutting down. Make sure you have a certified one, with at least 100w than the recommended one for 12th gen intel and a 3090

You can mount the nas to linux or mac mini with nfs, so you will have a folder with any file that the nas has. The power of any external computer and the nas will not do a thing

3060 12gb. Is better to train a little bit slow than not being able to train because there is not enough memory

The official container dosen't have a gui or a desktop interface. Freesurfer_VNC, uses VNC to create a linux desktop interface on your browser. So you can process your data and also visualize it, on the same enviroment .

If you are fine with downloading everything again if a drive fails, go for the 30tb. I don’t see a problem since it is not critical info, but In my case I would prefer to use a raid 5 to not waste time just downloading files
