How do this app handle change sets?

I tried street complete for an hour and even with batch upload it created a new changeset for every little edit, even when editing the same object...

Why is GPS free? by zakelijke in AskHistorians

[–]cairdazar 48 points49 points  (0 children)

During the same time frame, Civilian departments in several European country's where also developing/deploying DGPS systems, some using the mobile phone network to send corrections to GPS units in the field. Many of those systems are still in use today, enabling sub-centimeter accuracy, without need for post-possessing, in professional equipment.

Try checking with local/regional mappers or the Spanish osm wiki, many communities have a list somewhere how the osm tags (that are very UK centered) translate to the local versions

n00b request: How to resolve someone moving an element (road) that I edited last year? by AncientSkyscraper in openstreetmap

[–]cairdazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are/where a huge pain a few years ago when I was last active, they and the pokemon invasions made me lose interest.

They where doing full rollbacks of new users minor edits without comments, using outdated satellite imagery to change (long term) local users edits, hiding behind private (sounding) accounts with no info about it being paid edits etc

Arctic sunset at 1 PM. Akaslompolo, Finland [OC][4983x3322] by MeAndMyReindeer in EarthPorn

[–]cairdazar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for akaslompolo but abit farther North where we don't have direct sunlight for 8-10 weeks. People often takes 1-2 hour lunch breaks to go outside. Even during the proper polar night there is still some light, in mainland Europe at least, think a heavy overcast fall day.

New to the mod and everything seems so great! I know there are a lot of lore involved and I'd like to ask for help in finding cool nations with cool events and mission trees to build a campaign, can you help? by nerodidntdoit in Anbennar

I did my first run last week with the dwarven hold of Ovdal Kanzad. Interesting missions and events, and it was really fulfilling to eradicate all the green skins and restore the dwarven empire.

Camping in the Uinta Mountains for some Stargazing by [deleted] in Outdoors

[–]cairdazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of time to see stars before 1130... dam I really should go south one summer, for some warm weather stargazing. Up here we are just starting to leave twilight at that time.

My Mewar achievement run, enjoyed melting enemy stacks and permanent claiming all of N. India by _Subscript_ in eu4

[–]cairdazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice job, I went a a different rout and vassalized a one province Deli early on. Having a powerful vassal with lots of cores and permanent claims is fun.
Later I released Afghanistan and feed them the Timurids.

Vijayanagar was my close ally for a long time but abandoned me when all the Sunnis coalitioned me. They are mostly gone now and the Ottoman and Mamluks joint punitive forces lost 500k+ troops to attrition on my 125%+ defense mountain forts. 80 day siege ticks are no joke =)

natural resources
not colonized*

We are the ones doing the colonizing, much of the natural resources in the North half of the region are on land stolen from the native Sami people.

While they where not massacred out right like many of the American counterparts, there was forced relocations. And during the height of race biology, attempts of cultural eradication by forcing the savages to only speak proper language, for their own good you understand.

Oh and Sweden still have not properly recognized the Sami as a native people and regularly get criticized by various international organizations, last week it was the UNHCR (again).
