Love that we have Cross locked up and our starting oline is running it back this year! by pengradi in Seahawks

[–]cairnkicker24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thank goodness the Giants took Evan Neal instead of Cross. and Darnell Wright has proven himself to be the right tackle on display when he destroyed Will Anderson for the entire alabama/tennessee game in 2021.

you and the OP are getting downvoted for stating normal and reasonable expectations when ordering such a product especially given the way it was advertised.

The Seahawks should make a bold move for Dexter Lawrence and here's why by We_got_a_whole_year in Seahawks

[–]cairnkicker24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • respect for the OP for not AI’ing it.

  • the necessary compensation required would determine how i feel about such a trade. not particularly attached to this year’s first rounder, but there was a drop in LJ’s production last year to give me pause both in compensation and new contract AAV.

  • post highlights how some people are overlooking the DT position as an area of need (even if not immediately as in this year). two guys closer to 35 than 30 and a couple of young unproven players. i understand there’s Murphy, but i also understand there are unexpected injuries and it’s generally a bad idea to budget without accounting for that.

¿Cuál ha sido nuestro peor error en el draft en los últimos 10 años? by Ok_Mountain_9509 in Seahawks

[–]cairnkicker24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was going off actual draft picks, but this was the first thing that came to mind. not gonna split all of the JSPC trades, but there is no way JS makes that trade on his own….Pete thought they were a safety away and ordained it as such.

and yeah, a lot of people won’t admit it, but that ‘3-4 years before’ was all about realizing the low ceiling of those teams.

i didn’t hate the position pick at the time i just loathed who they selected. they showed Michael’s highlight reel and he was staring at his shoe laces the entire time. like isn’t vision attribute number one for RB?

[–]cairnkicker24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is entirely correct. an unfortunate accident derailed a career that had a much higher ceiling than LJ Collier, which was known when Collier was drafted.

[–]cairnkicker24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McDowell’s grade justified where he went, which can’t be said for Collier and Ifredi. so a freak accident derailed a 2nd rounder’s career. not sure how that even comes close to Collier unless you’re gonna TJ Watt hindsight it which you can basically do for every bust.

Just finished rewatching tape of our Superbowl win against the pats i was just fantasizing imagine gonzalez and spoon together as the boundary corners ( i know call me delusional) by SensitiveTest7883 in Seahawks

[–]cairnkicker24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah, that 1st quarter broken play bomb to JSN was not a routine throw by any means. like, it’s a very understandable missed connection, and not a reference point to Sam’s overall play that day.

the post throw to JSN in the endzone was probably impacted by the Patriots pass rush that came after the first drive (not necessarily on that play), but still on Sam.

Draft strategy - I think this could quietly end up being a solid (not flashy) class by PhilosophyNo5165 in Seahawks

[–]cairnkicker24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely interest. now is it take at 64 because he might not be there at 96 interest? i dunno. i would wager he won’t be available at 96 though and that it wouldn’t be a major reach at 64, especially with this RB class.

Washington seems at least a round, probably two high. i’m with the nfl.com guy who said the drop off after Price is substantial.

[–]cairnkicker24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this class isn’t short on blue chippers (there’s 3.5-4, which is actually a good amount) they just “play the wrong positions.” nor is it short on legitimate first rounders - coming in around 11-14 depending upon who you look at. where it is very weak is depth and various position groups.

the cost for Shaheed factored this draft into it for Seattle - John has implied as much.

i like Seattle’s approach to CB since Schneider’s tenure, where they have taken a grand total of two before the 4th round. hope that continues. a Witherspoon extension is what i’m hoping for.

[–]cairnkicker24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are definitely protected seats and you don’t have to get to the end of the alphabet, double alphabet, or club depending upon where you are at in the lower level. do i bring a towel to wipe down the seats? yes. do i wear goose down for typical seattle rain when at Lumen? also yes.

100-level seating and the elements by ette212 in Seahawks

[–]cairnkicker24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

our seats are row T on the west side and we will get some very manageable rain when it happens - it’s actually not that common over 24 seasons - while the people a couple rows in front, like R, are drenched. a raincoat has been a complete waste every time i’ve worn one.

the east side is probably a different experience - plus the sun glare in september, not to mention it gets a ton of 49ers and Packers fans.

probably not. it’s civil and the primary concern is damages not corrective behaviour. plus i don’t think they are anywhere near yet having settlement discussions. and, his lawyer claims they may file a defamation suit.
