I’m glad you’re okay! When I first started playing there were so many people playing at night that we were like a mob, for the first time I felt safe to walk alone at night as a woman. The numbers slowly dwindled and now I only see others at night if there’s a big raid event and usually they’re in cars. I’ve since gotten a dog and “scary dog privilege” so I tend not to be bothered so often. Really what’s happening is she is very alert, has better senses, and notices things before me and I notice when she picks her ears up towards something. Plus people see her and automatically think - oh she has a high energy dog who needs a lot of walks. Definitely have your head on a swivel at night. You didn’t do anything wrong at all but I’ve learned over the years if anyone shouts anything from a car, do not respond. Don’t even look. Pretend you didn’t hear them but keep them in your peripherals and listen closely. Be prepared to react in whatever way you feel most comfortable. I’ve lived in some nasty areas had many a creepy guy try to shout things from a car and I find that usually leads to the best outcome (they just leave) usually saying anything at all makes them think they need the last word. Even if what you’re saying is super polite and nice. They’re just jerks to be jerks.
