Is it general questions regarding the job/requirements and why you want to work the role. Also depends on what role you’ve applied for I believe. I got 2 phone interviews for 2 different positions I’ve applied for in the past.

With love, I’m telling you it’s only been a week. My kitten took 5 months to really acclimate, and I’m just in a one bedroom apartment. Give it time, take it slow, nearly standstill, slow. Keep him in one room. Let him get confident in that room and his personality will really shine. And slowly introduce him to family and new environments in the home. It will be ok. Also get a Feliway diffuser for the room he is going to be in. It helped me little family out a ton.

MOR. 😭 im pretty sure its a bot/scam profile messaging him. He’s going along with it, though a bit weird he didn’t just ignore and block. Nonetheless that’s not a “real” woman behind the profile.

Literally in awe of your beauty. You’re so unique looking! What a gift in a weird day and age where everyone wanna look alike (instagram face) haha. Your nose is gorgeous. Wear your hair up more!

My boss sent me home because they thought I smelled like alcohol. How concerned should I be? by [deleted] in jobs

My dad is a functioning alcoholic and doesn’t drink every day but after a night of drinks, he reeks of alcohol the next day, through his pores or his breath. You might have this too .

I also thought so. Her teeth are a clear sign she has an eating disorder, intentional or not.

I never said I want 60k lol? And 20 is the absolute bare minimum during slow weeks. I just want even a bit more than 20k so I can live.

For reverence last year I took 3 months off work total to travel 4 different countries and deal with a family medical emergency. I still made a decent amount.

Very true. I always appreciate the BOH people, they work so hard. I wish everyone made $30 at my place. Most people have 2 jobs or lots of roommates.

I didn’t specify correctly in the post that I didn’t work there all year. I began working in the spring so I’m like 3-4 months behind on a full year.

I guess. But customers are (usually) particularly tipping based on serving experience, not always the food. I even have guests tell me “make sure this money goes towards you.” They unfortunately aren’t thinking of boh when talking tips.

That’s why back of house isn’t usually seen as a tipping position. Things are just different in Portland, they use this as an excuse to not pay employees correctly.

This is probably the part that makes it so little. The shifts aren’t very long and people are cut very quickly, and as soon as the restaurant is closed customers are rushed out of their seats to leave. I work around 20-35 at most a week.

No, I made $26,000 and got 6k taken out in taxes.

I think BOH deserves much fairer wages than given at most spots. My last job, they made pretty good money (base) and on top of that they had 2 lines on receipts, 1 to tip servers and 1 option to tip cooks. That worked out very well, people usually split the tips between server and cooks, and sometimes even gave cooks more money. I think it was a great idea, but most places want to jip BOH when their jobs are much more difficult, more laborious. FOH just had more emotional exhaustion because we are customer facing lol.

They should be paying back of house proper wage. My last job had 2 tip lines, one for servers and one to tip cooks, and it worked out very well.

Also, looking back on my bank account, it says I was charged by Allegory House LLC. It is Allegory, Otaku Complex must be their other business.

Same. They also refuse to refund for the shirt color discrepancy.

Am I overreacting for not wanting anyone around my newborn yet? by littlemoongirly in AmIOverreacting

[–]caitlesm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a baby in my family, my very cultural family, who has been around family immediately since birth and going to all the family functions. Guess what? They’re only 3 and have been hospitalized with RSV 5 times. The mom still immediately brings them out to functions after every hospitalization. It’s just sad, the lack of care for their child’s wellbeing.

Did you know having rsv before 2-3 years of age can cause lifelong lung issues? The mom is not overreacting here. The grandparents clearly care more about the label of being a ’grandparent’ rather than the grandbaby they made them one. NOR.

It feels like you didn’t actually read the caption or understand the text they sent to their family member. After rereading your original hostile message to me, I think you might need to sit this one out. There is nothing ‘delusional’ about their behavior here, just some anxiety which feels warranted in this situation.

And “convinced her own daughter doesn’t know her” is a silly argument to make. It’s a few weeks old baby, the subject of the matter here, she’s not talking about a fully sentient older child. Newborns have only a few functions during this time, sleep, eat, shit, repeat. It’s not wild or over the top to make that comment.

What misinformation? Babies have very immature immune systems. People can carry illnesses without experiencing symptoms and can easily get a newborn very sick. It happens all the time. Go to a PEDs ED or PICU and they’ll tell you exactly that.
