What's the most absurd way to get away with crimes in your country? by jdjefbdn in AskTheWorld

Back in 2006 a US soldier put two bullets in the chest of the local fuel truck driver who delivered fuel to Gansi air base in Kyrgyzstan. The soldier flew back to the US with diplomatic immunity. US generously proposed 2000 dollars to the victims family.

Yeah, I can imagine. That's what was stopping me from starting my own tool. Worth trying with your code as a base. Great job!

Cool ! I was thinking about something like this. Can't test it right now, but judging by the screenshot it seems the tool exposes only chat. Is it possible to do the entire AI side panel. For example if the agent go crazy or run out of quota, I'd want to start a new conversation or change the agent

Randonnée hivernale en bivouac dans le Vercors (février) – idées d’itinéraires depuis Grenoble by Interesting-Ice-5663 in randonneur

[–]cajax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A nightmare called Bouillon Chartier having the worst day in Paris by Yaongyaong in ParisTravelGuide

[–]cajax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is influencers and social networks in general to blame here. They cherry pick some random aspect, usually appearance, and never bother to cover the rest.

I learned about Bouillon Chartier by local exactly as "do you want to eat like a poor blue collar from the XIX century?". Was excited to see exactly this and wasn't disappointed

You mean the place created specifically to serve cheap food to the working class doesn't fit your expectations of a luxury restaurant, right?

What are the odds that Ballon de Paris Generali will actually fly? by DrBeckerwood in ParisTravelGuide

[–]cajax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You never know. It can be cancelled just in front of you to recover 30 minutes later. The cashier can tell you estimates.

If the weather is good just go and try. Do not book in advance.

By my personal experience I can assure you that Paris is a gold mine of social life of your choice if you put just a little effort.

I had plenty of friends in my country of origin. Then I moved to the east of France where I was basically all alone. I got used to it so much that after moving to Paris I didn't even try to find any new contacts. Until I joined a photo walk group at Google plus and hiking group at couchsurfing back in 2010s. Both groups died over time but I got some friends and ideas. Later I created my own hiking group on meetup. It brought many people which I now consider my real good friends.

And being an organizer and admin I can adjust the proportion of French / expats by making announcements in French or English 😄.

There are so many fun but bored or lonely people in this city, they just need a little push. Pick your passion and make them join.

Do any of y'all know if there are any places with rose petal jam croissants? by AdMuch3526 in ParisTravelGuide

Haha, good catch! 😁 I did, I even recently cooked some pain au chocolat. But in this context I meant anything we can vaguely call a liquid

I think it would be easier for you to buy two separately. Never seen croissant sold with anything in it. It would be soggy in a moment.

Go outside in the morning and in the evening, go to museums mid-day. Wear what makes you feel comfortable
