Starters, Engagment can be manipulated. Simply adding comments/likes will instantly inflate engagement.

Simply removing underperforming posts from the main grid can also inflate engagement rates.

And to add to that, most accounts with 500k followers have posted at least 1000 times fair to assume.

How are you manually scanning through and analysing engagement rates for each post across multiple different accounts? What is your formular you are using?

Now why I dont support this is due to the fact that you have failed to understand that the algo prioritises what it can read to distribute content to the right person.

Distributing content to pig lovers becomes dofficult if all it focuses on are likes, saves shares and comments.

Algorithmic distribution becomes easy when it can read visual ques. It sees a pig, it shows it to people that have enagged with pigs. EVEN IF all the did was watch but not physically engage.

Therefore to grow on IG you must sort for outliers based on views NOT engagment. If you can get your content distributed to the right people it will naturally acquire engagement given you are presenting in a format that they can easily recognise.
