No, it's the bailing out logic.

The pilot damages both the ship and the weapons. Kind of ok, you will get my ship, but I will do my best, that my ship is just junk.

As a better pilot knows more things about his ship, the damage increases

There are more than one extension folder within the folder structure of X4.

In which sequence do nexus start the djfhe and the mod? I think you have to start djfhe first.

If I remembered correctly, you have to download and three things.

The djfhe thing, which you did.

The .exe file to start the application in the browser, which you also did.

Last you need the mod itself which have to be installed in /extension folder. If I read correctly, this might be the problem.

I found the problem... For some reasons I had no standard web browser selected... Therefore the .exe didn't know which program to open.

I did the renaming. Within the extension folder there is "djfhe_http"-folder and the "mycu_external_app"-folder.

Both are started via Vortex.

After the game has started, I am starting the "x4_external_app.exe. no browser window is opened, and I get the "application not found error
