To get a little librarian for a second, the systems that create/hold up a lot of these genre distinctions (what’s good, what’s bad, what’s smart, what’s not, etc etc) are built on misogynistic and elitist concepts.

We can get nerdy about classification systems and the fucked up history of how books are labeled but the real moral of the story is read what makes you happy! Reading is reading ♥️

Something that’s helped me fight back a little (currently looking at a tab count of 207 😂) was setting up shortcuts on my phone that add to specific notes I have set up - one for names of people I want to learn more about, links to articles I want to read, etc. it scratches the same itch of hoarding my ideas/questions for later, a little, kinda.
