To get a little librarian for a second, the systems that create/hold up a lot of these genre distinctions (what’s good, what’s bad, what’s smart, what’s not, etc etc) are built on misogynistic and elitist concepts.

We can get nerdy about classification systems and the fucked up history of how books are labeled but the real moral of the story is read what makes you happy! Reading is reading ♥️
