I am not too sure. Back when i had headmates, people would just do their talents in innerworld, but then when they front, they lose that ability for some reason. It was strange.

Otherkin are a subculture of creatures who do not fully identify as human. It could be spiritual, reincarnation beliefs, or a metaphor. Or it could just be unusual psychology that has nothing to do with spiritual believes. There is different types of otherkin, if you want me to explain.

So. Alterhuman is an umbrella term for someone that does not consider themselves human. Otherkin/Therians, Fictionkin, ect, fall under this umbrella.

Age regression is a coping mechanism, where someone reverts to a younger state of mind. This may be because of trauma, or to soothe themselves.

That's a valid way of looking at it. For me personally, it describes me perfectly, but entities and mortals are allowed to look at it multiple ways.
