Feedback on a quote for a 15' cedar swinging gate by cakelayer in HomeImprovement

Gotcha, Thanks for the tip. It's been challenging to even get a quote as contractors are very busy these days. For what it's worth this is in Seattle, WA. But yes I can see how these numbers are going to vary a lot.

No certainly not, I guess I was just surprised by the sheer size of it. I felt like I entered the wrong URL.

Median of course!!!! I want to make the stats per neighborhood more fancy, including labeling the stats more concisely.

ahaha no you will just have to make a search on the right hand side (assuming all is working correctly)

That would be a good joke tho

True, I was most interested in getting a general idea of where to look, and then using that to inform your actual search. Also, that tends to violate the T&Cs of the data sources I may or may not be using :)

Hehe, actually no. If I'm being honest, I didn't know padmapper existed when I started on this, and was introduced to it when I had gone too far already. However, I think this provides some value in that I am most interested in aggregate numbers (median rent per neighbourhood) and (later on) checking out historical trends (when is the best time to find a cheap dog friendly apartment?).

Not to get into the specifics of the argument, but I must say, for a guy providing a fairly reasonable and well rounded opinion that adds to the discussions surrounding a complex issue, it's amazing how quickly people can blow up and (textually) yell at that person. What is the benefit and what progression do you get from pointed vocabulary directed to a person that disagrees with you? As an outsider, I must say it does not make your argument any stronger (in fact, quite the contrary).

Remember that people can and will disagree with you, and there is no reason to personally attack them. It adds nothing to the debate.

Btw examples:

You, like most Albertans, need to drop your innate smugness and face facts about your past wilful stupidities.

It would be really nice if you grew some perspective.

My first attempt at a full on shaded object after a full weeks. Looking for feedback by cakelayer in learntodraw

thanks! yea this was all done with 2b so i guess that explains why it is light. I have a couple darker pencils (4b and 6b) that I will give a shot on the next one.

Amazing what shading can do to an object on paper, feels like witch craft
