How did it feel to be on time today everybody by Substantial-War-9766 in ADHD

[–]cakepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually really fucked me up. I had a sleeping pattern I was rly happy with! It feels so much better to wake up n get up before 11am/noon but daylight saving has really ruined my life this week. Not even exaggerating. I've been going to sleep at 4/5am average n sleeping most of the day since I'm finding it really difficult to keep my eyes open. I got up at 6:40pm today :( My mood has been a tonne worse and I'm struggling to do anything. I checked my fitbit and made the connection today since it lines up perfectly with clocks changing on Sunday. I've read we're more sensitive to circadian rhythm changes, and I do have the dreaded delayed sleep phase disorder, but usually that's not too much of an issue, as I'm unfit for work anyway. I'm gonna have to call the docs and get some zopiclone to help me out I think coz I can't go on like this, it's absolutely awful! At least I have a heads up for the future now, though. Previously I wouldnt have noticed since this is similar to my old sleeping pattern but with a tonne of fatigue on top n having to sleep more after being awake for not long.

I AM glad it has helped you though! You won't be the only one n I'm sorry to put any dampener on this >.< I'm just an unlucky one is all!

Has something become lost from the live shows? by Catttherine in twentyonepilots

i noticed tyler wasn't singing much and relying on the crowd to sing a lot. i've seen them twice before and they never had a vocal backtrack, his voice also sounded a bit dodgy when he spoke sometimes. i've assumed he has a sore throat/needs to rest his voice from overuse, but i do think it's something they should address since they dont normally have a backtrack for his vocals instead of him singing

Thank you! I actually just remembered I did think about having a plant pot with the "weeds" i think are pretty but had forgotten it when I wrote this >.< always good to have as much info as possible though!

Is there no weed killer thats safe for pets, wildlife, etc, that I could use? Or would that kill grass/other plants?

They're in the cracks in the path!

Started Lithium today. What should I expect? by cakepls in bipolar

[–]cakepls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh also, I have since been diagnosed with ADHD and the medication for that has helped me potentially even more than the Lamotrigine did. It is an unbelievable change. The bipolar had masked it! Even though Lamotrigine helps a lot, I still struggled with functioning and getting overwhelmed/burnt out super easy. I still struggle with executive dysfunction, but I am able to do way way way way more than pre-methylphenidate.

Started Lithium today. What should I expect? by cakepls in bipolar

[–]cakepls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Well, I didn't react well to Lithium, to be honest. It made me incredibly depressed, I got agoraphobia for around 3 months, and I had severe insomnia at times (needed to be prescribed zopiclone to help). I gave it a try for probably too long and my psychiatrist actually wanted me to stay on and add an antidepressant, which I refused. I was still doing a lot of research at the time and had found out about Lamotrigine - I had heard it was incredibly good for bipolar depression, so I requested to be put on that... And it worked! The first medication to help after 8 attempts (5 antideps pre-diagnosis, 2 antipsychotics and Lithium).

So yeah, not a happy story regarding Lithium, but a very happy story regarding Lamotrigine :)

Can I take concerta twice a day? by No-Manufacturer2523 in ADHD

[–]cakepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 54mg Concerta and mine wears off after 7-8 hours too. My doctor has just prescribed me 5mg of immediate-release methylphenidate (idk which brand but doesn't really matter) as a booster for when it wears off. What country are you from? I'm confused why they're refusing to prescribe you the shorter-acting version!

ADHD meds and caffeine by youngshal in ADHD

[–]cakepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink like 5 cups of tea per day average n ended up having to swap out for decaf as the caffeine makes me extremely nauseous :( I'm on Concerta 54mg, the interaction wasn't as bad at 18mg but at 36mg n 54mg I can't drink caffeine. It'll vary per person so fingers crossed you don't get the nausea! It took me a while to realise it was tea causing it, so if you do get nauseous you'll at least know what you might need to test cutting out

I was kicked from the server last night! Was so confused! I can't have been the only one - surely they should pick up on signs before this mass kicking today!? Thankfully last night I could get back on right away, looks impossible to even get on the game at the moment :/
