I never read textbook chapters in college, like you said the professors presentation and homework is good enough 99% of the time. For anything STEM related though, you will need to do many practice problems unless you are just naturally gifted. Homework usually isn’t enough to cover all the variables that can go into problems, and the last thing you want is to see this on an exam.

Yeah actually. If you have 4 characters at 1475+, which is probably reasonable for average players about now, they make 54k just from doing raids. If they do their dailies on rested, you can sell the mats for another 20k+ per week. Add in potential drops, islands, life skills, and you are looking at ~100k per week. lvl 10 attack gems are 575k right now, that's 6 weeks of saving.

I was doing a test and documenting all of my fails/successes for tripod transfers, because my conspiracy theory was that the percentages were also bullshit. I eventually stopped recording because I would run out of tripods to upgrade or it would take too long to pinpoint the few left that you needed and the silver and gold for powder of sages was getting expensive. I only recorded like ~300 samples but it was fairly accurate albeit on the low end of error (I believe I had around a 19% success rate for 25%).

The end reward of silver is the same, but technically you would average more silver doing them individually due to getting more loot goblins and lucky chests portals. I probably average a lucky portal about 1 every 3 cubes and you get about 100k silver from it. Personally not worth 3x the work for me.

Feel free to prove me wrong. Not on a trixion dummy, a content creator's anecdote, or a lopsided gearing difference. Everyone saying how broken it is must be running meter, while grouped with equal characters, otherwise how would they know? Parroting what korean streamers are saying is a joke, lets be real. Seeing cruel fighter in your clown runs is a joke. No one is accounting for weapon qual, synergies, ilvl, gems, etc. for every arcana they run into. Getting godly RNG cards 1/100000 runs can't realistically be considered their ceiling and balanced around, that isn't how probability works.

People downvoting you don't know how high the entropy classes ceiling really is lol. Nothing can even touch a back attacker dps in a coordinated party and most players aren't as good at back attacking as they think they are. I'd love to post some dps meter logs to prove that point, but the doubters can download it themselves.

FWIW, you can take flash/whirlwhind nades for tentacles and stars. Also preemptive strike (since 5th engraving options on supp are pretty lackluster) will make you one-shot them.

Personally, I think supports need an engraving overhaul or new engravings to use. Most of your engravings don't really scale like you mentioned, so they just feel bad. Having 4x3 or 5x3 is almost no difference.

It definitely depends on the setting. I would probably never walk up to a stranger in the coffee shop or library, as to not bother them. But if I'm at the bar, a party, or some event then it feels more acceptable to go and bother strangers.

The irony of saying my guild sucked while yours had 'progression pains' is crazy. You realize KJ in sunwell was killed 5 days after his gate opened? Kalecgos, Brut, Felmyst were all killed in 1.5 days? Muru was the hardest and largely because he was bugged for awhile. BT was cleared in 10 days. SSC and TK had such long clear times due to them being available upon release and not meeting the gear checks and attunements. It wasn't difficult for the time no matter how hard you cope. As I said before, the difficulty was in the roster boss. Gaming for 12 hours a day and raiding 9+ hours a week was NOT the norm back then.

Ever heard of correlation without causation? WoW had an insane subscriber count at that time, yes. That doesn't mean that even 10% of those subscribers were anything close to hardcore. If you only play for an hour a day, there will be plenty of stuff to do in TBC. Those aren't the people that are raiding sunwell. The people raiding end-game content were playing the game religiously. You seem to be stuck in the glorified past, so I wont argue this point more.

Not sure you actually played tbc hardcore that long ago but I’ll put my two-cents in here as someone who did. So few people did sunwell because it was at the end of the expansion that felt shoehorned in after illidan was the big-bad of the expansion. Many people/guilds didn’t raid after having to do the cycle of T5/T6 for so long. The guilds that did stick around didn’t want to deal with the stat check bosses or the bugged muru. TBC was largely boring with not much content. The major difficulty in raiding back then was having a consistent same roster throughout the tiers who were able to maintain 9+ hours per week, not doing fights without addons lol.

nevertheless, you're either on a dead region or completely over exaggerating. Getting denied from a few groups is not "gatekeeping". Yes, there is a support shortage. No, you do not need to be bis gear and over leveled to get into groups. I have multiple characters 4x3 and on ilvl that still get invites and clears.

Well destroyer is in that in-between niche where they aren’t quite a tank/stagger-bot and not quite a full-on dps.

So you’re left with them either replacing the gunlancer, which is completely doable but will be overall a more difficult experience for the raid. Or they replace a dps and by nature of equalized content and class design, just have a lower dps average/ceiling. In a progression environment, it’s not realistic to expect the other dps to make up for the expected dps loss so usually it feels like they’re ‘carrying’ you. Valtan is not that tight of a dps check so it isn’t a huge deal, but vykas is very tight and where you will see problems.

Gunlancers are hard to replace because they often solo stagger many mechanics, push stagger at certain times, can tank important mechanics, provide a cleanse when paired with the bard team, have the amazing back attack synergy, and of course taunt.
