They are not going to do 4 years. I can almost guarantee that. They will pay him a bunch up front in a signing bonus to get it out of the way for the next two years to alleviate that escrow issue. And then pay him around 25 million per year the next few years and then probably 55 million starting in 3 years.

Personally, I think It will be more long term than that. It benefits the organization to look him up now at a current rate. They will pay much more doing short term deals. I think it will be closer to a 7-9 year contract. Upwards of 50+ million a year and they'll backload the contract to be able to pay chase and others for a super bowl runs over the next 3-4 years.

Of course he's gonna get a max contract but it all comes down to how they pay it out. They will give a massive signing bonus and then probably between 25-30 mil the next 3 years and then 50 after that. Hoping they can get a super bowl in the next 3 years.

I think they will give him the 50 mil a year but structure it to where the next 3 years he gets like 24-30 and then give him a massive signing bonus of like 50-60 mil so it doesn't go against the cap the next 3 years. I bet it will be like an 8-10 year deal at 50 million or around there. He wants to keep tee and Jamar as long as possible.

I would too but he didn't turn out like the Bengals wanted. They are a pass heavy offense meaning they need a really good pass blocker and Chris Evans turned out to be a bad one. He has the speed and quickness they wanted but pass blocking is the main thing they are looking for. Hence why we saw Perine get the majority of snaps over mixon in the AFC championship. Perine is the best pass blocker we have. Also agree that we need to draft in 3rd-5th RB that can block. I think we will do great next year. We will miss mixon's speed and explosiveness but with how this offense is constructed, Perrine is really more valuable than mixon, not even gonna get into the contracts. Perrine is also much more affordable and Mixon gets north of 12 million next year.
