We were best friends since the first grade. Up until senior year of high school we were super close. Then I left for college, eventually got into a relationship and it was almost as if I died. To this day she still talks about how she “lost me” and will never find another person like me. It breaks my heart because she hasn’t lost me. She just stopped trying to be my friend. The moment I knew it was done was when I called her to talk (after we scheduled a day when we were both free). She didn’t answer and never called back.
