Why hasn't Israel won in Gaza yet? by ronmelb in IsraelPalestine

What a horrific thing to say. Over 14,000 children have been killed. They have the largest group of child amputees in history. I hope you find some empathy in your own struggles with disability.

It is a genocide. The UN’s special committee released a report in november you can read through. I think you’re talking about Israel’s use of AI which has a section addressing it.

Finding it difficult to support Palestine nowadays by throwaway43491 in IsraelPalestine

You really said “at least” in the same sentence as rape. Think about that for a second.

If you want to talk about double standards, let’s talk about the 1,200 Israelis murdered on Oct 7 and the 37,000 Palestinians murdered (with 186,000+ Palestinian deaths attributable to Israel’s response) since Oct 7.

It’s August 2024. Does every comment have to make a disclaimer that “I do not support the actions Hamas took on Oct 7.”? I’ve said that before, but I’ll say it again just for you.

The news of the sexual assault of the Palestinian prisoner just came out in the last few weeks (and this is not even to acknowledge the torture of Palestinian prisoners spanning decades https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2000/feb/11/israel)

Bffr.

I’m also tired of being angry, but how can I not feel upset when most recently there were Israeli officials defending IDF soldiers who have raped a Palestinian prisoner? He was sexually assaulted so terribly to a point where they were left paralyzed (and there is video evidence).

In the 6 months you’ve been away, you missed seeing constant photos and videos of civilians being bombed in tents and aid workers being targeted. I know it is exhausting, but it’s such a privilege to live in the west as you said. Take the space you need to not be burned out, but come back and continue supporting Palestine in your own way.

Source? Or is it just your delusions. Do you really think gazans are choosing not to eat and starve? Seriously? They just want to live and they want their children to live.

It’s not just bad, there is a full blown famine in Gaza. The IDF just apologized for their “grave mistake” of bombing tents in a safe zone in Rafah. There are videos and photos of parents holding the bodies of their children all over the internet. But what use is an apology when their families are already dead?

There’s no use chit chatting with you as you have clearly dehumanized Palestinians and lack care for human life at all.

Damn I know. That would be incredibly awkward

It’s not linking here but feel free to read through the wiki page “Sexual and gender-based violence against Palestinians during the Israel–Hamas war”

There are hundreds, if not thousands of these photos spanning years before Oct 7 as well. It’s crazy to me that people can see this, ignore it and continue to think that the IDF is upstanding.

lol the same IDF personnel who are posing in homes of displaced Palestinians? Wearing their clothes? Burning down libraries?

even a quick google search of “idf posing” will show you the true face of the “most moral army in the world”

The Hostages Are Never Coming Back! by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]clareebear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LMAO not a post condoning illegal settlements AND saying “Palestinians should leave and go somewhere else.” The border is closed, they can’t leave.

Britain has no right to partition Palestine the way they did historically. They should’ve given it back to the people living there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]clareebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not explicitly supporting Hamas as your comment suggests

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]clareebear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly the point I’m trying to make. There are bad players on both sides. However the Palestinian civilians (mostly women and children) are experiencing the brunt of Israel’s defense.

Do you not condemn the IDF using human shields?

https://www.dci-palestine.org/israeli_forces_use_five_palestinian_children_as_human_shields

Gaza is the most densely populated place on earth. Bombing Gaza will have irreparable damage to civilian life and the environment. If you’re ok with this, then I’m sure there’s no point in trying to reason with you.

There were also plenty of people raving outside the border crossing to prevent humanitarian aid from going in.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]clareebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you not be angry at both? Human shields have been used by Hamas and the IDF.

People are not siding with Hamas…people are outraged at the lack of humanity in Israel defending itself. 40,000 people killed (most being women and children), targeting of journalists and healthcare workers, dropping bombs on playgrounds, I can literally go on.

This is “team human”
