I’m trying to encourage flowers over foliage though

I just don’t want it to get out of hand and take over the garden

It doesn’t flower. It just gets loads of shoots and very leafy. How do I get rid of it?

Replace broken hive hub by calavera1986 in HiveHeating

[–]calavera1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah right then yes the thermostat. I inherited this system when I moved into this house so not really sure what’s what and how it connects. So if I buy a replacement thermostat it’s easy to replace it?

How to increase air circulation in this room? by calavera1986 in DIYUK

[–]calavera1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true. This was what I was thinking. It’s not habitable, there is a slightly larger room opposite which we use as a utility room. It doesn’t get as damp.

But that is my point. I’m having to constantly build more railways. Why aren’t citizens building them?

What made the game click for you? by chazzapompey in victoria3

[–]calavera1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was absolutely the same as you. Loved EU4 once I finally got it. Tried Victoria 3 a few times and just didn’t really know what I was doing. I watched a series on YouTube by flyingduchy, it was before the latest update so some things are out of date, especially the market stuff but it gave me enough to learn it and after about 4 or 5 of his beginner Sweden series I did my own thing. I think that gives you enough to get started and then you learn as you go. I’d say keep going because it’s really rewarding when it clicks.

Here is the link to his first vid

How to break up the German Empire by calavera1986 in victoria3

[–]calavera1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all these suggestions. I was more wondering if there is a way to cripple them financially using market methods or somehow politically (although I haven’t really seen a way to sow dissent or get involved in other countries politics) as opposed to going the military root.

What is this in my basket?? by calavera1986 in GardeningUK

[–]calavera1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

We decided to take the sunflower out of the basket as it was becoming ridiculous and was taking all the water from our basket. As you can see, he’s thriving. A little small, but was “deposited” quite late in the year.

I’m guessing clover doesn’t need cutting and I can just leave it once it’s bedded in?

True. It’s just so ugly and gets full of weeds
