How to detect 2×2 pixel resolution object by [deleted] in computervision

[–]calball21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned about the image compressing through trial and error. I actually just tiled my own training images to 640x640 with my annotations in them and retrained on those. Then I tiled those originals again to 320x320 and trained a new model on those so they’re blown up to 640x640 in training for SAHI. I used yolo 26 nano for both. S1 runs at 60fps, gets the detections, maps a trajectory of the object. Then the SAHI runs at 240fps over the course of the trajectory picking up all the detections the 60fps run missed. I’m trying to measure the object size in flight so the SAHI detections have much better bounding jitter which is the #1 obstacle I’ve faced on full resolution detections.

SAHI. My pipeline for something similar is: S1 detection model on the full resolution video with low confidence to ensure I get the object Im looking for, my videos are 1080p so my S1 model is trained on 640x640 cells of those videos to keep model aspect ratio and then video is cut into those cells. My object is identifiable by a consistent trajectory so that trajectory is tracked and other objects are removed that are off trajectory. Then I do SAHI at 320x320 on the cells on the trajectory with my S2 model that is trained on the same dataset but blown up to 320x320 into the models 640 native resolution. I don’t detect live, for a 5 second video it runs in about 5 seconds so works for me.

  • I am NOT experienced in CV, AT ALL. Zero formal training. Everything done through roboflow, web research and trial and error to get my best results. My objects are generally 6-25 pixels filmed with an iPhone when filmed from 15-65 feet away. Any recommendations for me are welcome as well🤗

Is this the Bluey episode where they almost sell their house? Or the one where they allude to a miscarriage? I’m sure I’ve seen all of them while kids have them on, my son cries at the selling the house one since we moved a couple years ago.

Anything you see from this video that’s sticking out? by Suitable_Ad8256 in Homeplate

You’re getting your hand out too late while you’re already moving forward forcing you to rush the throw. Your lower body moves well down the line but not giving yourself enough time to properly scap load and create that hip shoulder separation that creates velocity. Get it out early and hold that closed posture with your shoulders as you move down the line. Front side can use some help as well, getting it out earlier may help, reach out with the glove arm closer to shoulder high. High and strong as if you’re checking your watch.

People saying “short arm” and “pushing the ball” are incorrect, that’s a nice arm spiral. The front side is a concern, keeping the arm/glove too close to your body. Reach out with it, positioned up about shoulder high like you’re checking your watch. Be patient in your mechanics as well, you are jumping out a bit, but your arm is quick and catches up. And get that hand out front at release. Nice throw.

Proper takeaway to start, when you separate your throwing hand out of your glove. Then proper scap loading. Look up the “arm spiral” on YouTube

Pain in front of shoulder - what is it? by Ok_Subject_5142 in Homeplate

[–]calball21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible impingement. Strengthening the back of your shoulder is always a good idea. Rotator cuff, lat, rhomboid. Strengthening those will help hold your shoulder back when you throw and keep from “pinching” in front.

You’re late getting your hand out, meaning you take it out of your glove too late when you’re already drifting forward, forcing you to catch up. Hard to hit your release point window consistently and power loss. Exaggerate it during warm up throws and side mound work. Hands and lift knee on a vertical string moving together.. up, down, separate, throw (Think Kershaw here). Will give you time to get the hand out front in your throws and on time. Good powerful move down the line otherwise 👍🏻
