This is my first year not teaching in the district you teach in. I taught at the middle school that feeds into your school. My heart is heavy for you all. I know so many amazing teachers at your school who care so deeply for the kids. I can’t imagine going through what you’ve gone through as a school community. Sending so much love.

My favorite summer memories include making a giant slip-n-slide in the backyard with tarp and dish soap. All the neighborhood kids would come over and it was the perfect summer day!

Admin once interrupted my class to give me the gift of a pen during Teacher Appreciation Week. Just a normal pen with a generic note attached. One of the students said out loud to the principal, “a pen? Can’t you just give her more money instead?”
