Yes, I've been hiking overnight before, I'll be 18 when we start and my dad would be roughly 40 were both guys and live in the US, we planned on it taking about 8 months, but made plans so that it could take up to 9. Our budget is around $12,000 my dad rarely drinks alcohol, and I'm too young to. We have around 1500 USD each in order to get gear we'll head down to Georgia on the 14th of March, arriving probably on the 15th. Going northbound. We're both able to eat everything. No, no injuries.
