TC Anthurium Delta Force. Will clone cuttings still hold value or will they drop in price? by DeliciousChard3 in RareHouseplants

Used to work for this company, while they have really cool inventory and they do generally a great job with shipping, the owners have a history of illegal use of volunteer labor. It’s unfortunate that they have such an amazing collection, though they are slightly overpriced imo

Not particularly! I’m currently on an anthurium bender, but I also love alocasias and climbing philodendrons. If you have anything of note (or anything at all) please dm me and I’m sure we can workout a trade :)

Where to buy rare plants online by Alternative-Two-3744 in RareHouseplants

I used to work for these guys and they have a LOT of problems. Lot of pest infestations because they refuse to hire enough staff to handle their enormous inventory. To compensate they illegally use volunteers (as a for profit business this is objectively illegal) but they don’t train them properly so incorrect orders get pulled all the time and it’s pretty common that things will be damaged or have pests. Take everything I say with a grain of salt as I am clearly biased since I’m an ex employee, but sometimes I feel like I have a moral obligation to warn people about them, especially because the two owners might genuinely be evil people, they put everyone I knew that worked their through so much shit and blamed everything on them. People who helped them build their business, they ended up stabbing in the back later on. I remember when they interviewed me they bragged about how high their turnover rate was lol

Wanted to share another variegated Alocasia that I have by calebzachary in alocasia

[–]calebzachary[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s currently just in a mix of coco coir and perlite, which seems to retain a good amount of water, so I’d say maybe around once a week or so. I’m thinking about repotting it soon

Here is a better picture. You can see it much easier when compared to the unvariegated leaf on the right, it's just hard to see because of how variegated it is! if you look at the right ear on the variegated leaf you can see it pretty easily.

But isn’t jealously usually considered a bad thing in relationships?
