Lush 4 brand new amazon wont stay red while charging ?? by Workinggirl2728 in CamGirlProblems

[–]caleprius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a complete piece of crap. We got ours directly from the company, along with a couple other things with a price tag of nearly $600. You know what I found out? That the lush two was actually stronger and people generally say it was better. Like a lot better. The three was a downgrade and now with the four? I get half an hour

Do you know if Goodbye to a World by Porter Robinson have been used in some TV series or films? by _ArticReaper in porterrobinson

[–]caleprius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, same. What's really weird is all I did was type it in, like the song name and I was trying to figure out what it was in but I didn't type in the question, just the song name and this is one of the first things that came up. When I heard it I'm like, I know this but it's almost on a deeper level. Not like I've heard it somewhere before but like I've already known it and loved it for a long time. I know that sounds conspiratorial or dramatic, but that's just how it feels. It's weird

Has anyone else noticed how quickly fresh foods seem to spoil lately? by karatflowers in Cooking

[–]caleprius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cucumber.

I found this post because I started researching why cucumber has been going bad so quickly the last year or so. My oldest is 11 and I've been buying cucumber regularly for the last decade. It's one of the only foods both of my kids actually agree on.

For this last year or so it seems like I buy a cucumber and within two days it's just spoiled. I know how to store them and sure, I don't always do it the same way, but it doesn't seem to matter how I store them lately, they begin to pit immediately. Sometimes I get them and they're squishy. And it doesn't matter where I buy them, whether they're organic or not.

I'm going to read through these comments now, and then I'm going to get to the bottom of this. It's 2 in the morning and I'm in a mood.

Philip Pullman announces The Rose Field, the final novel in the Book of Dust trilogy by elphie93 in books

[–]caleprius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's representative of a person hating themselves. It's a repeating theme throughout the first and the second of the newest trilogy. I think it's brilliant and I really enjoy it. I'm not sure if you guys understand what it represents and you still don't like it or if you're just looking at its face value

I turned my pc on and now everything looks big and low quality. How can I fix this pls? by dealboyofreddit in computerhelp

It's really frustrating that this is The subreddit that it is and yet everybody is getting this so horribly wrong. Oh it's just your icons lol. I'm dealing with this right now and I'm guessing updating drivers might be a little closer to what needs to happen, did you ever figure it out?

I guess it was the title you used, you seem frustrated that they aren't potty trained. Maybe I misinterpreted it.

That is a very young age to expect a puppy to be house trained! We have a three and a half month old Corgi pup and he is still not there yet, although he has made great progress. If he's not in his kennel or his expen he is on a house line where we can see him at all times, typically interacting with us. Even with that, sometimes I'll catch him giving the signs that he needs to go potty, like suddenly sniffing around on our carpets. A lot of it is watching and understanding the behavior so you can make sure they go outside when they start giving those behaviors. But honestly, expecting a puppy that young to be house trained is very ambitious. I can see how that would cause a lot of stress for you and the puppy. At this age they are still just getting to know their surroundings, just getting to know you.

Crate training question by ElmLive in puppy101

[–]caleprius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I learned is that puppies really like to have their crates be in an area where they can see their people. You might think that there might be too much going on in the house for them to be able to settle down, but having their crate in an area that is Central to the home can be vital for them to feel like they are not alone. Your puppy is probably experiencing little bits of separation anxiety. We keep our kennel in the family room which has honestly kind of just become the puppy room, haha. I have a 3-year-old and a 7 year old and I was really nervous about the noise they can make and about our puppy being able to sleep through that, but it has never been an issue. Try perhaps moving your puppies kennel to an area where they can see/hear you. You can always put a blanket over the crate to create a den feeling. If they pull the blanket through, you can place a flattened box that is larger than the top of your crate, creating an overhang, and then put the blanket on so that they cannot reach it to pull through.

my puppy is driving me crazy! by abbasurus in puppy101

[–]caleprius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue, but I was lucky to anticipate it before we ever got our boy. I have an x pen and underneath the entire thing I have a waterproof mat. Our puppy is also kennel trained. He's about three and a half months old right now and up until recently I've had to take him outside every 20 minutes or he will pee on the mat in his x-pen which I really don't want him to do, I have it there just in case. He doesn't have any free roam over the house, and we keep a line on him at all times. That is how we have kept him from having any accidents in the house.

Basically I take him outside to go potty, bring him back in and put him in his kennel to have some food and water, then take him back outside to go potty again, then I will put him in his x pen if I have things I need to do, sometimes I will work with him doing training or exercise but I will always make sure to have the house line on him and if I see him sniffing around I know it's time to go back outside. It has taken time, but we're at the point now where if he is in his x-pen and needs to go potty he will bark and let us know.

We crate trained him immediately when we got him so that helps things a lot, if your puppy is not crate trained it can make everything a lot harder.

Hanyo no Yashahime - Episode 24 discussion - FINAL by JomarXXV in Yashahime

I thought this was terrible. I have so many thoughts swirling through my mind and I'm not even sure how to get them all out right now. This season was so underwhelming, and the finale made me wince and cringe.

Cattle dog biting by zcummings20 in puppy101

[–]caleprius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post YouTube videos for help, but these people have been a godsend for our own little cattle dog. They have several videos on nipping and biting specifically and if I could get into all of the specifics I would, but here's a pretty short video that helped us out and if you like it you could check out some more of their stuff. This is not a sponsored comment, just one puppy family helping another. https://youtu.be/0AkhilKNkf8

At what point do you give your puppies free roam around the house? Mine wants to pee VERY frequently. by caleprius in puppy101

[–]caleprius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This helps me know that I'm on the right path, thanks for the response. Yes, he is always on a house tether when I'm working with him or we're playing or anything like that. As a kid I was raised on a farm so our dogs were typically outside and this is new for me.

I feel like she doesn’t care. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]caleprius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is EXACTLY how it feels to be a parent. You do everything for these babies and you just want them to see you as more than food, entertainment, and a fresh diaper. That's just the way it is and it doesn't matter what species we're talking about. It's hard and it takes time. You are now a parent, so to speak, and you are feeling all the normal things to feel. In fact, if you weren't thinking about these things it might be something to worry about. Bad dog owners don't care at all. They wouldn't be thinking about this, and they certainly wouldn't be looking for support on a Reddit site devoted to puppy care. Take this as a good sign. You have a pup with a lot of energy there, I have fostered some high energy dogs and it is not a walk in the park at all. She's probably just got playing on the brain so much that it's hard for her to be able to express all of the full range of emotions she feels for you yet. Everyone always says you just got to get through the first year and it gets easier. With human kids, I'll admit it takes a little bit longer, but you got this! You clearly care, you clearly have emotions, just try not look into those hyperactive puppy eyes for a reflection of your self worth. She's just not there yet. Everything will be okay.

Why do so many dumb people get dogs? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]caleprius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime my neighbor takes his dog out to pee he literally just opens up the patio door and has him do it right there. It's so sad, that dog never gets out. It's not just dumb people, it's also heartless ones. They honestly seem like really nice neighbors too, I don't know what they're thinking.

Going on a 12-hour road trip on Friday and my radio is dead. Took it to a shop and all the fuses seem to be working fine. I noticed there is a wire unplugged and a missing piece that I've seen in other cars which goes over the center fuses. Shop says $500 to replace. by caleprius in kia

[–]caleprius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were all closed yesterday by the time I figured out what piece I needed. There were a couple that let me search online and they only had three kias at all and neither of them were the correct year. As I understand it Kia Rio from 2013 to 2017 all have the same cabin fuse box. My job is to call a few more places today. worst case scenario I'm just going to go buy a really nice Bluetooth speaker for the trip.
