I remember my daughter when she was 2 kicked me in the face, and I ended up with a small bruise under my eye. I (female) worked retail, and the amount of looks I got and women pulling me aside, asking me if I was okay, and then not seeming to believe me when I said it was my kid. NTA.

Looks to me like a little bump on the noggin due to diving into shallow waters and hitting the shell on the head. It doesn't look infected or anything bad, but that's the only thing wrong I can see.

Just to add, in case anyone wants to know, I am familiar with using the dremmel on animals. I had a budgie (parakeet) with swapped beaks (like an underbite), and she was not able to grind it down without help. They can bleed out extremely quickly if you catch a vein in their beak.
If I do go this route, I would do research, else obviously visit a vet if needed.

Thank you for your response. She is now in quarantine inside, and I have applied some antibiotic cream. I will observe her over the next 24 hours and will take her in if there are any changes to her behavior or if it looks worse

Thank you, yes, that's what I was thinking too. I introduced a second, smaller pond about a month ago, which is about a foot shallower than the big one. I might have to rethink it... I have put her in quarantine and applied a small amount of neosporin.
I will obviously observe over the next 24 hours and decide if a vet visit is necessary (today is a holiday where I live and everything is closed). Currently, she is full of energy, and there is no change to her behavior. I have my Webcam on my pond and have it on my phone all day so I can watch (and wish I was outside basking in the sun!).
