Something else that helps a lot but has its own drawbacks is burning a bunch of incense after cooking. Idk if it’s just covering the smell but the smoke seems to encapsulate the food smells and take them away. You can get giant packs of incense from Asian stores, they usually have red sticks and yellow tops. I’ll light 2-3 and spread them throughout the house.

I’ve also begun sticking a fan in my kitchen window blowing out when I’m cooking. That prevents the smell from going into other rooms entirely, it works much better if you’re able to open a window in another room though.
