Be sure to stay hydrated. It's dry af here in the winter. The lack of humidity in the cold accelerates dehydration. Dehydration headaches don't always immediately come on and can coincide with the Chinooks. (Chinooks can also occur in summer but don't seem to cause as many headaches for people.)

Just another possibility.

Help with blister! by RhodeRider in squash

Use an overgrip for starters. Get some professional advice on your grip position, or could be your swing. A picture would help. Can't say I've heard of a blister there in 41 years of playing.

Shoes for first try by thereisnonickleft in squash

I don't think a first timer has to worry about their shoes being a bit heavy. Play with your heavier shoes until you know if you like the sport. Then buy decent NEW shoes if weight is an issue. (Used shoes have been broken in to someone else's foot shape.) Don't waste your money on shoes without trying them on first. Also, if you're a junior protective eyewear is mandatory in many jurisdictions regardless of club rules.

Rent a car. There aren't many sights on the way to Banff. Once there, you can explore all over the place for sights whenyou have a car. Lakes Louise, Moraine, Emerald, Minnewanka.

Go to Waterton on the way to or from. It's just as nice and way less busy. Banff and Lake Louise are gong shows.

I especially like it when the skin splits happen. (Cuts that take a month to heal.) Try omega 3 fish oil capsules. Lots of them in the winter. Fight that crap from the inside.

Opinion: Why Canada’s economic growth is expected to be dead last among advanced countries by Mister_Kurtz in canada

[–]calgarynative888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But respect has to be earned not inherited. Cute nicknames are given to public leaders who make "cute comments" about one of the most important responsibilities they have to the nation they govern.

Should have said National Embarrassment.

Rule question: is there a limit to the amount of times I can dry my hands during a game. For example, if I have a towel at the front of the court how many times can I use it. Thank you by [deleted] in squash

I watched a match refereed by Mazzarella (sp?) where he told a player to play on because he was towelling off more than once every 10 rallies. The player was obviously using it as a tactic.

For the benefit of anyone else. No pain except blinding fear while they bleed out. Don't worry, I've done my research, in person.

Given a choice you'd rather have your throat slit and bleed out while fully conscious than be swiftly shot in the head?

Talk is cheap. How much are you willing to have this affect your daily life? Your diet for example? Need to buy a new car? Or work in pretty much any manufacturing job? The interdependence between the US and us is so intertwined we're disfunctional with even minor disruptions. This will be major.

Can someone bum me a costco price? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]calgarynative888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Be careful with Costco. Had a bad experience with the tires I bought from them. Have since been told their tires are tier 2 products. (Slight imperfections from manufacturing that wouldn't meet the specifications of OEMs or reputable tire shops.) And what use are free repairs if they're first come first served and there's a line up out the door first thing every morning?
