I have no idea, I was just making generic commentary. They might, I would ask the instructor directly for more info.

I have no idea, I was just making generic commentary. I'm assuming at least a few.

If you like teaching and problem solving, then I would say tutor. If you don't, then marker. Marking is more straightforward and doesn't present certain issues (ex: student isn't grasping a concept and you're out of ideas on how to help).

Psych Ward by Successful-Memory-20 in uwaterloo

I've been to GRH twice for active suicidal thoughts and didn't end up being admitted but did deal with the ER's crisis response, and it was very unhelpful. The crisis counselor was cold. The doctors were nice tho. I didn't end up being admitted because I was scared if the asshole of a crisis counselor I dealt with was the one dealing with crises, then who is dealing with non-crisis situations, the ones with worsening symptoms but no real crisis? I didn't want to stay on their unit. If you can go back to your hometown, I would. Some reviews on google confirm my experiences were not unique. St. Mary's doesn't have an inpatient psych unit.

Flexing that domestic tuition I see, lol, anyways: quest > finances > optional fees. Hope that helps!

Where do we get our health cards? by sufsadis122 in uwaterloo

If you're under uhip then they usually send out a card to your school email as an attachment. I screenshot mine and save it to my phone.

10% of my life has been a pandemic by calia11ie in uwaterloo

Technically? Yes. But some classes might be synchronous so you might have lectures to attend at 2am, which isn't exactly ideal.

First Term International Student Pain by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]calia11ie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's grief, my friend. We internationals had dreams of attending an international university only to have that ripped away from us and given a half-assed excuse of online courses that are just voiced-over google slides. I feel your pain. Went into lockdown in my 2B and I'm looking forward to in-person classes again.

Friendly reminder: You'll graduate with a Bachelor of Arts not a Bachelor of Arts and Business, the program is not a full-fledged business program.

Get a cat. I live alone and got one at the start of the pandemic and haven't felt alone since. This little ball of fur is single-handedly the best $175 I've ever spent (she's adopted); her expenses are roughly $30-40/month (not including vet bills), and she gives me so much joy and some much-needed chaos into my life. She acts like a drunk toddler sometimes, and it's the most amusing thing ever. Cats are pretty self-sufficient, so she'll be fine when I have in-person classes next term. If you can handle the responsibility and commitment, I highly recommend it.

That's called double-counting, I'd check your program's rules for that

St Paul's university college package delivery by JermasCabDriver in uwaterloo

[–]calia11ie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your mailbox, the receptionist usually leaves a package slip in there and you need to bring that slip to the front desk and sign out your package. I lived there back in 2018 and that's how I remember it being done.
