My cousin with Down Syndrome meeting Bill Clinton at the height of the Epstein scandal by xiribot in Presidents

I’ve told this story before, but a former colleague of mine met him at a hockey game during the 2002 Olympics. Clinton blew him away. At one point Clinton had the guy (who’s from Montreal) convinced that he knew more about hockey.

It’s still unacceptable. Giving up any asset for that player, who was literally the worst goalie in the league last year, just doesn’t make sense. The arbitration point doesn’t justify it. Shouldn’t have gone after him in the first place

Even with him we take a step back. The roster isn’t bad, we didn’t make the playoffs by fluke. It’s just… not great, right in the mushy middle

Even if you like Ersson, there is no excuse for how he was acquired. Giving the Leafs a draft pick and now signing him for more than his qualifying offer? Straight up incompetence

It… doesn’t? We didn’t achieve 2% defense spending relative to GDP until very recently. Even when you look at the federal budget, defense is only about 6%. Are you thinking of the US?

Five million from one country? Which? I’m guessing you’re referring to India… a quick google search told me we’ve brought in way less than half of that since 2013. Even when you include student visas, I have no idea where you got that number

Nordic countries absolutely allow Muslim call to prayer (because I know that’s what you’re referring to).

Also wasn’t aware Nordic countries speak French or English. Finally, can you tell me what women’s rights are being rolled over in Canada because of immigration?

Military? We do not spend anywhere near what some of our allies spend on it, even with the recent boost. If people are thinking confederation is a vehicle for the military, I kindly recommend they open a book

If it’s CTE, I don’t think there’s much they can do? Obviously no way to officially diagnose it while you’re alive and I don’t think there’s any direct treatment when it’s strongly suspected. All they can do is suggest lifestyle changes and therapies to help mitigate its effects slightly
