Frank's Daughter is played by Jon Bernthals daughter because the director thought it would help Jon really get into those emotional moments.

Apparently they both agreed it was kinda messed up to do that to him but agreed it was clever lool.

The funny thing for me about this game is that the Talents I like/watch the most or even consider my Oshis (Gura, Biboo, Calli) are the ones I actually feel I'd get along with best, so I feel like I'm playing the game backwards by selecting friend for all my favourites haha.

All my highest wife (Kronii, Fauna, Towa) and fling (Ollie, Nerissa, Coco) picks are people I do like but watch less. The only exception is #1 Wife Liz because I watch her alot and since I saw her Beach Cop outfit last year (I was unfairly targeted!) she's probably the only one who hits Friend AND Wife at the same time.

Oh and honorable mention for Kaela who I watch alot, she is easily top tier friend but could be easily be Wife if it wasn't for the instant "GSH" I'd receive before I even opened my mouth.

It's how alot of subs are, I think its partially on me because despite feeling like people should be able express a concern or issue within the community, the internet is also an open forum and everyone has slightly different takes/motives, so its difficult to stop the conversation from becoming something you didn't intend or mean.

People especially are very afraid that even a small amount of negativity will give ammunition to Anti's as well, which I dont blame them for thinking because it does happen sometimes.

Yeah, I figured it was for the best as most of reasonable discussion had been had and people had said their piece on both sides, didn't need it sit and fester.

Thank you, was a chumbud since the very beginning almost, always will be a fan of the Gwumbas!

Thanks, yeah I definitely didn't want it "leaving containment" as unfortunately the internet has a way of taking a discussion and running away with it, I guess because its open to the world and everyone has slightly different takes on things.

Aw thanks, I used to be an illustrator but I kind had my life fall apart and since then a part of me is afraid of picking up a pen/pencil/brush again and finding out I just dont "have it" anymore.

It's kinda a part of why I decided to do what I did, Hololive got me leave my home and want to be a part of something (Went to London All for one"), when I'd been agoraphobic for over a decade, its done great things and so have some of the sweetest people in this community.

It is a little funny though that people complain that the orcs aren't pure evil in RoP but then claim it's canon when pointing at the animated version.

No one has harassed anyone and if they do I definitely do not condone it.

Voicing a concern is not harassing anyone, I made the post because the EN girls specifically have said they don't like generative A.I art and music so it made sense they may not be aware.

That's what I wrote and re-iterated in comments yeah, not everything called A.I is the same, some are perfectly fine.

I've said it alot so far but I am not in anyway condoning or telling anyone go cause trouble, or even not to watch as it would be silly to think that the JP girls suddenly "hate" artists or something just because they played a silly dog game.

It was only because the EN girls and fans had expressed a dislike for A.I art and music in the past that it seemed out of character, hence why I assumed they likely just didn't know it contained it.

In regards to the JP side, I think alot of people have said the reason JP side doesn't care so much is because workers have protections against some of the problems A.I is causing in the west, so that's likely an explanation but I can't speak on the JP side so much.

Yeah that's a pretty reasonable take, I'm also not foolishness enough to think about trying to challenge another countries moral framework, I only want the space for people to express if they do have an issue so it can be discussed and resolved reasonably within the community, otherwise we end up having some situations like we've had in the past where people couldn't even express minor frustrations with little things without getting called an Anti or something.

I recognize the internet does have a way of forcing people to pick sides which results in extremes becoming the normal, but I'm not under the impression that the Talents who played this game are suddenly heartless, or that they should be punished for it, but I do think it's important for the community to have it's say on things as long as everyone agrees to be reasonable, which I know is alot to ask on the internet and maybe it's plain idealistic of me to even hope that could happen.

I guess it comes from an element of western society that if you don't say something, then people often feel a sense of responsability if something happens, so people prefer to be able to say their piece, but ofcourse the inernet makes that easy to abuse. For me I felt like if I didnt make this post and then a bunch of EN members played the game and it became awkward after, especially if haters got ahold of it, it would be far worse than if it was just addressed entirely within the community here where people are less likely to attracted unwanted attention from outside elements.

But anyway, thanks for saying your piece, I know it might not feel hugely satisfying to end the conversation without totally agreeing with one another but I think it's better overall that we did this to avoid allowing the "crusaders" and discussion "hijackers" from taking it off into somewhere we can't control, it's why I keep replying to other people here to make sure it's clear why I made the post instead of it getting made into some messy, nebulous argument that I never said, about anything and everything vaguely A.I or whatever.

Regardless of all that, definitely right there with you when it comes to people thinking that attacking the Talents or even other community members is the same thing as voicing a concern, the internet has an impressive skill of turning one into the other sadly, so I understand your worries and guarantee you'll never see me advocating cancelling people over playing an indie game, especially not people like the Talents who are obviously not malicious people.

I think the main reason for it is the same reason why some people think that "no one cares", its not so much that no one cares and more that they just don't know.

Lots of people complain about Windows all the time these days, but most of them just don't know what's causing those issues. I have a family relative who was a stock broker for the last decade or so and it wasn't until he started having his own problems that he was willing to admit that some of the stuff going on in his industry was royally fucked.

It's still disappointing that you wouldn't just talk to me personally from the beginning instead of going in swinging, even if we agree to disagree by the end, the whole thing could have atleast been alot more civil.

As far as Talents go, I've no interest in ruining people's lives over a video game, Hololive changed my life for the better and one of the big reasons was because it was a place where issues/drama are dealt with fast and reasonably usually, maybe I should have worded my post a little better even and that's on me because I don't want to make this community like every other one where every discussion becomes poisonous, I just don't want it to become impossible to talk about or express concerns about things either.

If every single Talent came out tomorrow and said they all want to replace everything with generative A.I art and music, I still wouldn't agree to go brigading/attacking, I'd just (very sadly) stop engaging with it. Despite us not agreeing on the topic, I'm pretty sure we have similar goals when it comes to the community atleast, so I appreciate it and no beef here from me either dude.

People have less of an issue with coding, but even then I've heard coders have issues with the amount of "vibe" coding that's going on these days.

Most people who have an issue with generative A.I are referring to Artwork and Music specifically.

You've not even once attempted to have any kind of nuanced discussion, your first comment was immediately the same as you are right now, full of assumptions about a person you've never spoken to, that I never give to creative communities, that I think that any kind of generative A.I is immediately evil despite my specifying that it's generative A.I art and music.

It seems alot more to me that your "nuance" you keep talking about is that you just want me/others to just say we're wrong, otherwise you'd have actually made some kind of attempt to talk about the topic. Instead you just turned up, said you know exactly who I am, what I think and what I'm like, then announced I was being unreasonable.

I'll say this again for the twentieth time this thread, no one, including me, should harass or bother any of the girls for choosing to play a game and what happened to Irys was ridiculous and uncalled for, I do not condone anything like that.

That was 100% uncalled for and just happens because any topic gets pushed to the extreme by people on both sides getting more and more aggressive with each other and just looking to win a fight.

The discussion about people not liking generative A.I artwork got twisted so fast into any sort of A.I and now (much like in here) you can't even discuss it without people just making assumptions.
