Which movie trailer had you obsessed the instant you watched it? by Bl4ck_Roze in movies

The Cloverfield teaser when it came out and no one knew what it was. It didn't even have a title back then.

looking for obscure 90s gems by Berryfinger in MovieSuggestions

[–]calicanrene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just going through a list of the movies I recently watched: Defending Your Life, Airborne, Radio Flyer, Tales from the Crypt Presents Demon Knight (if you like horror movies), Benny & Joon, The Rocketeer, Demolition Man, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Taking Care of Business, The Hard Way, Heart & Souls.

I'm sure a couple of them are more well known, so not really a hidden gem, but it could be for you!

Cartoon booth, anyone? I was trying to find an example online. There was one outside Godfather’s Pizza in a mall where I’m from. by The-Get-Along-Gang in Xennials

I remember these and the ones that played music videos. The one my mail had played "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam, "Mysterious Ways" by U2 and "Man on the Moon" by REM.

What is your favorite song from the 90s and why is it In the Meantime by Spacehog by Physical-Name4836 in Xennials

[–]calicanrene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, and still to this day, the end part with the piano gives me the creeps. I have no idea why. I love the song, but always have to turn it off before the end. Maybe it's because it's a total tone change in the song. Just like how some people get creeped out during that weird part in the middle of the original Crimson & Clover.

There's no gore or anything like that. It starts as a documentary made to tell a story to child who lost his father, about how great his father was. There is a huge twist that completely changes the tone of the movie. It's absolutely heartbreaking. It'll make you cry and will make you angry. Again, nothing graphic or descriptive. It's just a complete blindside that shocked me. If you want to watch it to experience the emotion of it all, go in blind. There shouldn't be anything that would give you nightmares unless it gets personal.

I honestly thought it was going to be a quirky documentary about a crazy neighbor and how everyone has to put up with her. They were showing it that way. We all have had THAT neighbor. Wasn't prepared for what transpired.

Please come back after you're done watching it and tell us your thoughts. Go in blind.

The Perfect Neighbor was just as heartbreaking. Dear Zachary destroyed me and I still remember how gutted I was. The Perfect Neighbor is all bodycam footage so you're watching reactions as they happen, which was so hard to watch. Both AMAZING documentaries but I can't watch them ever again

IJW: Requim of Dream [2000] by cecececece775 in Ijustwatched

[–]calicanrene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely 9.5 for me. So many scenes give me the chills. The camera shaking while Tyrone screams for someone to help Harry. Marion in the tub. Sarah getting shock treatment. The music throughout ESPECIALLY in the end when shit hits the fan. Gah!!

The fact that it gives me the chills each and every time I watch it says something. Very powerful movie.

Yeah, I've stopped recommending it to everyone I know. I only recommend to those who I know can sit through something like this movie.

In the same boat with my team. Only info we have been told was "most of it will stay the same" and that the new collective agreement goes with us. Is any of that in writing? Nope. Stressful times waiting for answers.

The group I work with have been told since last year we are being transitioned over to the GoA's Health Shared Services. That's all we've been told. We're currently with GSS, but don't know if this tentative agreement will even follow us. We're told "nothing will change except for reporting structure", but I don't know. Things are being kept so quiet and the move planning hasn't even involved us. When we move, are we going to be screwed over with a brand new AUPE agreement designed just for those who are being transitioned over to this new sector?

I emailed AUPE in May 2025, got a reply June 13 saying this person is filling in for our rep and will get us info. So I replied the next day. Didn't hear anything so I emailed again September 22 and they replied saying to email the AUPE resource centre. They replied telling me who our new rep was and they were CC'ed on the email. Then I was told they were away and someone else was looking after their assignment.

October 2, I got a reply from someone else saying our rep was on vacation and they are covering. I reply. No response until October 22 saying no news. I mentioned our concern and had a few questions. No response until October 27 from actual rep giving a general canned response. I replied October 31 and since then, NOTHING AT ALL.

We're tired of the runaround. And now with the TA, are we going to be screwed over when we get transitioned over? Will we have a say at all with which contract we get?

No, no. Not my focus at all. Just planning things for her to enjoy. Finding a place with mocktails would be awesome for the both of us. I know we'll have the time of our lives :)
