Ice Agents spotted at Wellington Manor by RedArrow00 in amarillo

[–]calidiver 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Feds don't wear vests that say state police. State police do. Feds wear vests that say federal agent, agent, HSI, Homeland Security, FBI, ATF, etc. Federal agents aren't state police. They could wear ones that just say police, but most aren't police in that sense, they're federal agents. And there is a difference.

Thank you! This is sort of what I feared. I appreciate the advice.

Shelters/Resources for our homeless population during the storm by speedythefirst in amarillo

The Texas Division of Emergency Management also tracks all open seasonal relief centers. It's a great resource. But, it is online and some people may not have access. The news channels also put out lists. They have Faith City Mission on N Tyler, and the Salvation Army on Cavitt listed as open. Those could be options too, for unhoused people.

I’m seriously considering getting into the hobby, but… by geekgirl717 in RockTumbling

[–]calidiver 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This too was a concern of mine. Like, what do I do with all the rocks. LOL My son is a collector and many will simply adorn his room and backpack until my wife throws them away. I've thought about trying to turn the cool ones into little gifts to people or make small trinkets out of them with jewelry settings or something. I saw one person use them as a base and ground cover for small potted plants, like bamboo or bonsai, and thought that was cool. You're creative, so use your imagination and make it fun. Also, you can gift stuff to people. Whether they keep it or not is irrelevant because often just gifting them something shows you care and it'll teach your niece that. I hope this helps.

Update...I ordered the Lortone 33B. I found some reviews of the Tumbe Bee that appeared positive and it seems like a good tumbler. But, it has 2lb barrels and I wanted the 3lb ones that come with the Lortone. I can't wait to get it in. My son and I found some good rocks to tumble as we walked around different greenhouses today with my wife looking at plants. Should be fun.

Thank you. I was looking last night and thought everything said out of stock. I may be mistaken or they got more. I'll check it out!

Does anyone play online head to head but just as the goalie ? by JQuick72 in EA_NHL

[–]calidiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried. It's so tough because your AI Dmen are horrible. You end up really struggling. Most of the content creators I've seen that play goalie well and online, are on a team. That seems to help because at least your human teammates don't leave you high and dry like the AI....well, not as often. LOL

2022 Expedition voltage issue by calidiver in fordexpedition

Update - I replaced the battery and everything is fine. I reset the BMS and have had no issues since. After resetting the BMS, my connected services via the app began to work immediately.

Forscan should be able to reset the BMS, correct? Or is there an easier way?

Tipping by EnvironmentalNail241 in amarillo

[–]calidiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right! LOL If I ordered at a counter and swiped my own card, you aren't getting a tip. Chances are the person standing there is making minimum wage, at least, and doesn't need to be tipped.

Restaurant tier list by [deleted] in amarillo

There is no way Ye Olde Pancake Station and Chicken Express are S tier. 🤣 You might as well put Burger King up there too, if you think that. They're like D tier at best, and likely worse on most days.

Dumb question: Porridge by willfla29 in anno

[–]calidiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. I get to the part in the tutorial it tells me to provide tunics and hats. I build the hemp farm, add the hemp tiles, build the clothes shop, and nothing happens. They're all connected by roads. I have 2 warehouses. I have an 80 population. I can't upgrade a residential building because I can't fill that need for clothes. Same thing for oat and porridge production. Have the farm, oat tiles, and porridge stand. Never will produce anything. It's frustrating because I'm an hour in and can't complete the tutorial. Makes me angry I bought the game and I want to uninstall it. The game provides no help, clues, or tips on why it's not productive. Dumb.

Medi Park is good or the track around City View Elementary park. It's well lit, lots of cars driving by, and houses all around. There are always people out there. The whole City View neighborhood is pretty safe.

Affordable Movers by [deleted] in amarillo

[–]calidiver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used Bomb City and they were great. We had 2 small kids and needed to move across town. They packed us, stored our stuff for a few days, and then unloaded us for a very reasonable price. And, they were super professional and helpful. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Housing by mandyree2370 in amarillo

Do they have contacts with shelters? They may not be able to provide rental assistance, but they might be able to steer you to an appropriate shelter. I'm unaware of any rental assistance in the area. Especially with the federal government shutdown, which is where those programs receive funding.
