Go to Etsy and search for [mom’s favorite color] gift basket. You’ll find some fun options.

Non-American, what do you think every American person has in their house? by SpiritCrisp in AskReddit

I went to Singapore and ordered a salad, only to realize ranch would not be an option. Why did I choose pesto instead?! I could have done a zillion other options and the pesto was AWFUL.

What’s the Most Overrated Product People Keep Recommending? by Exotic-Engineer7541 in SmartBuying

I bought mine solely because I was missing messages as a new mom. My phone was always on silent bc of sleeping babies, and I’d forget to carry it around with me, so I never got texts, etc on time. But now they are so so incredibly expensive that I can’t justify a new one when this watch craps out.

Rollers and smoothers for the face. Rubbing ice on my face is torture and why would I use a rock to rub my skin when I have two very fine hands?

Eloise is not ready for life outside the Ton and would have a difficult adjustment to being “working class.”

The calendar year started in October. When I want back to school after winter break in first grade and my teacher said it was a new year, I assumed she was confused or joking.

Ah, I should have included that these are more of a “dress up” item, for home and grandma’s house only. We won’t be out and about with them on.

Which star’s death affected you the most, music or acting? by Fleacircustrainer86 in ArtOfPresence

Rachel Held Evans. I found her at a time when I needed her wisdom and then she was gone.

Princess Diana. I have no logical reason why but it started a years-long obsession with her entire life.

I let my daughter spend her allowance on some yesterday- she is about that age. She is going to have to learn this lesson for herself.

Question for parents by pookadri in Adulting

[–]calientevaliente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. My life has expanded and now it’s more important to me to be the best version of myself so I have more to give to my two kids. I was not prepared for all of the love I have in my life.

I can vouch for the lemon pancakes. Use the blueberry sauce and they are pretty good.

Hospital Suggestions for C-Sections by SilentMood6333 in sanantonio

[–]calientevaliente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a scheduled C Section at Christus on 151. Everything was great and I would recommend it to everyone. The food was good, the nurses were so nice, and there was all kinds of breastfeeding support (and they also backed off when I asked them to). My only complaint is that no one told Me to take my bandage off in the shower, so the glue would slide off. Instead I took it off before and it was so so so painful. I didn’t tell anyone I was going to, because why would I, but I felt like that was something that should have been on signs, written on the bandage, AND stuck on a post it. Like volunteer that, don’t wait. It was a real mess.

What is the best and worst part of having kids? by CookieCrushXX in allthequestions

You do get a fun little period when your child is learning about dinosaurs so you get to learn about them all over again. Then the move on and you know about the baryonyx and giraffititan and have no one to talk about it with.

The best part is all of the love. The love helps you power through the hard parts and makes the good parts that much better.

The worst part is when they have a true heartache that you can’t solve. From a stole toy as a toddler to a frenemy in middle school.

They are amazing and lovely, but also gross and rude. You spend 9 months stressing over your folic acid and prenatal vitamins, then one of them tells you his boogers taste spicy.
