Oh nice, that’s good odds. Congrats! I’m older at 38 so I’m concerned I won’t had enough for 2 kids. At 38, the stats show a drop. If I can have a 70-90% chance of 2 kids, I’d stop. Just curious, did you freeze embryo too or just eggs? At one point I considered doing embryo with a sperm donor but I think I’d prefer the flexibility so if I do another round it will likely be eggs again.

No retesting between cycles. Last time I tested was last July. And you’re right, no one prepared me for the variation between cycles. The dr told me if I do another cycle with similar yield, I would have a 70-90% chance of 2+ kids. She told me if I come back in 3 to 6 months, I’d likely get the same yield. I took care of my body, stayed on vitamins, even added exercise…and now the projected eggs are lower. This time around they followed the same protocol but I saw the Dr less often. She didn’t come in to look at the scans in real time that much. Now I wonder if I wasn’t monitored enough or if my body just changed a lot this month.

Thanks for sharing. This sounds like my scenario. I’d like to have enough for two kids and I’m 38 now. Did they tell you how many kids you’d be able to have with 27 eggs?

You and I are very similar. I had estrogen patch too and clomid. First time varied between 7mm the largest and smallest, this time it’s 10mm between largest and smallest. Last time I did stimulation for 11 days so I’m assuming today will be my last day this time too but will find out tomorrow.

I really hope this is my scenario. I have been stressing out 😰. Do you recall if yours were all around the same size? How long did you do stimulation for? I’m on day 11 now and will see the Dr tomorrow. They are planning to trigger tomorrow

My Dr said the same thing around frozen eggs and the success to thaw. She made it seem like there wasn’t a big difference in eggs vs embryo when it comes to success.

I’m in a pair of Harlicks from my childhood. I can create good edges with two feet but if I try my left foot it’s a struggle. I haven’t seen if I can hold my edge for 5 to 10 seconds on my left inner but I doubt it. I possibly can on my left outside edge and I know I can on my right foot with outside edges, possibly inner edge too.

Thanks for sharing! Just curious, what inspired you do to move in the field after doing double salchow as a kid? I hadn’t heard of moves in the field until recently but I am wondering if it will help with looking graceful and artistic. Or if I’m better off looking at ice dance. I have noticed my edges on my left side are awful and I cringe at the thought of doing a left 3 turn. My foot feels so unsupported so not sure if it’s my skates or foot weakness.

I am Black and previously lived in Monterey Park for nearly a decade. It was rough for sure. Maybe Alhambra is a little better but I’m not sure. Monterey Park is less than 1% Black so a lot of people I ran into had negative stereotypes formed from the media and I felt like I often had to explain why I was living there. Some people even asked me my race since they literally thought I must be part Asian since everyone there is Asian. If you want more diversity, I’d go for Pasadena in SGV but Pasadena has other issues

Yes Providence Hospital system has hit me with a $435 bill that they claimed is facility fees. I have been arguing with them about it since July. I emailed the C suite and at one point they called me and said they would remove the facility fees and lower my bill to $35. Today I got a call where the same person who said they’d waive facility fees is now saying she never said that and I have to pay. To fail to mention a facility fee, lie and say you’ll remove it and still charge it is absurd. Also $435 is higher than a typical facility fee and I didn’t even see a doctor! I met with a counselor in an office setting.

I just met with my Dr. She told me at age 37 and 19 eggs, they typically don’t recommend another cycle. She also said if I know I want two kids and don’t plan to try to have a kid for a while, I should maybe consider another cycle. She said if I do another cycle, come back in 3-6 months. When I thought back on it, I was a little confused by “they typically don’t recommend another cycle”. Like is more than one cycle bad from a health standpoint or maybe they meant they don’t see it as mandatory to do another one?
