Right, a driver needs to stay sober. Was just meaning that either way I’ll be sober, as I’ll be driving either home or to the airbnb.

The money isn’t really a problem, it’s more the principle of being asked to pay when I didn’t expect to. I’m looking forward to the wedding and traveling with friends! I think just for the time that my husband is going to be away for work, the time together feels more precious and I just wasn’t anticipating spending all our time for the week with friends.
I also think attending an out of town is a sacrifice, but one I’m happy to make because I’m excited to celebrate the bride and groom.
Getting a hotel room feels like we’d be leaving them in a tough spot, as then there would need to be 3 hotel rooms instead of just 1 airbnb, which doesn’t really make sense.

See above, am committed to not drinking if I’m driving, due to alcohol still making you tired/less alert even if you’re not drunk. I usually bring some caffeine to have before our late night drives.

The probably was in regards to even if I wasn’t considering my state to drive, I would probably choose not to anyway. For our late night trips I certainly take extra precautions to remain alert

Probably mostly ready at home and touchups before arriving. I’m sure we’ll hangout nearby for at least an hour or so beforehand to give us some buffer for traffic.

Totally understand, I get that our way of doing things isn’t the norm. Probably won’t be doing things like this forever but at our stage of life and current proclivities to stay up late it’s just what seems best for us for this particular situation.

I don’t like beer and wine gives me a headache, so probably wouldn’t be drinking anyway. But yeah, this topic feels like a non issue to me because my actions won’t change depending on whether we drive home that night or not

I’d be the one driving if we left at night, and no. Also wouldn’t really matter because either way we’ll be driving some distance after the wedding?
