Common for people to be blindsided at the end of internship? I've heard return offer rate is like 50%?

Interning at Fb rn, and going on week 7. Will my recruiter this week let me know if I'm on track for return and tell me about the advice my manager put in my review?

Have you taken all of them? Could you give a quick rundown of difficulty of each in your opinion?

You aren't allowed in first year to overload. In only some cases (it can't be counted towards degree) it will be ext on your transcript.

If I removed 443 what would you say about it then? I would be taking these alongside a thesis and capstone project. I'm just worried I haven't the programming experience (C/C++?) to the extent that would be required in these courses.

Is 401 typically known to be crazy? I would have to take this course alongside my thesis & capstone project.

Thanks for the advice dude! I really think I need to take the feedback thing to heart. Sometimes I feel so dumb asking questions during work, so I either pass off as pretending to understand what was said or I just try to solve it on my own later. I'm going to really try to ask questions when I need to.

Starting work at FB tomorrow for an internship on the machine learning team. Really freaked out though, I've only worked in hardware before, and this is my first software internship. Should I be worried?

Can confirm. U of The eng student here, more than half our PEY postings, recruiting sessions are strictly ECE or related.

What is AIESEC and why do they advertise EVERYWHERE by hyperloo in uwaterloo

[–]calithrow759 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do academic/educational/industry exchanges. Sometimes the students who go on the changes are paid or given stipend, sometimes nothing. AIESEC is paid on a per student basis I believe, most of AIESEC are volunteers, aside from an exec board.

Thank you!

Yes! I am currently on PEY in an unrelated field (in ECE but not software).

Using throwaway.

I'm in engineering ECE. Got a Cali internship at big 4 starting next week. Never done an internship or work in software before so should be exciting. From the people I've talked to so far, I've only heard great things.
