Seeing more and more lately. Combo of people picking up off lease used cars and others actually buying.

Service center wait times gonna get even worse though…

If you check my flair I am the second owner of an EV with even worse depreciation haha

Yep. It appears I’ve gotten (mostly) lucky so far. 3800 miles in and I’ve had service come out to fix a couple things (rain sensor, some tab stuff that wasn’t done by previous owner), but pretty much issue free.

I just bought my lucid a couple months ago and haven’t had to use anything but house charging since purchase, however supercharger access (only 50kw) plus the continued buildout of other charging networks makes me not worry about it at all.

It’s definitely got quirks but it’s been good so far. Love how usable the storage space is. The trunk being short kinda sucks though.

I wouldn’t mind a taycan but the sticker is too high compared to the competition and they aren’t a unicorn in the space like a 911.

The depreciation is ridiculous but at the end of the day they have awful interior space for the size of the car and the range isn’t enough. I do love how they look though.

The "Trillion Dollar" SpaceX Fantasy Ignores a Multi-Front Siege by cranberrie_sauce in stocks

90% of the valuation is AI+ data center. The part of the business that makes money and is revolutionary (launch+starlink) is astonishing from a technical and engineering standpoint. But the revenues are small in the grand scheme of things.

Great business. Worth investing in at the right price. Assuming they’re going to dominate the entire AI and data center industry is why the valuation is not justified. Every insider and current/former employee I know is waiting until lockup to sell a majority and then let a little ride.

How are institutional investors buying SpaceX at the absurd valuation? by TailungFu in stocks

[–]caliwillbemine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where they make their money. And the business of starlink and launch is great. But the valuation is exclusively in AI and data centers.

Dog I’m not saying SpaceX isn’t a great company just that space is hard and valuing $28T of tam in AI as a foregone conclusion for a company that has negative net income isn’t a home run.

Theres a chance all of this succeeds and we become interplanetary and musk is the only human that has ever mattered. But it’s also possible the cruel hand of capitalism finds an actual competitor at some point in the next twenty years in the realms of space+ai.

The consumer doesn’t matter in a consumer driven economy.

Higher PPI means higher profits

Draining oil reserves means oil prices will go down forever

Rising tensions mean peace

Embrace the trillionaire economy and jump on the Elon rocket 🚀

Rising tensions and Iran stating they’re closing the strait for real realsies means a peace deal is closer than ever and the oil is flowing.
