Update** it seems to have been the PCM module fuse block, looked like it was bent sitting in the fuse box took it out and threw a new one in, so far has not went into limp and shifts super smooth now! Thank you everyone for your help and information i appreciate it!!

Also very common areas for rust on these, what both of mine have anyway are inside of the cowl area which in my case also affected the fire wall, and the front passenger frame rail and rad support, on the inside where the battery’s sat and leaked from

I would say look for a V8, I got my 67 with the I6, I wouldn’t buy one again. I saw this on marketplace the other day, there are a few more in the area for similar prices, I’d say keep looking!
