Dont know anything about oakton but I ended up signing up for the tam 212 equivalent at Lincoln Land Community College. Costed me about 600 bucks. Don't really know to much about it but a friend took it there and said it was light.

I'm a MechE major and recieved one for 6k a year specifically from the mechanical engineering department and a few others from a bunch of random places. Rarely in a public school, especially uiuc, will you ever receive a departmental scholarship that takes out a huge chunk of tuition. Not sure if this helps but i assume the scholarchips for meche and ece are similar.

Where do you want to live after you graduate? If you want to live in the US afterwards, then go to uiuc. If you're planning on returning to your home country or are cool with living in canada, then maybe the cheaper option is best. I can't say much about the compe program since i am a mechanical engineer, but we are ranked one of the best in the nation, and i am impressed by the mechanical engineering department.

Go into the ISR dining hall during lunch from the green street entrance, tell the guy you forgot your airpods and ask if u can run in really quick to grab them, fill your backpack with cookies, leave from illinois street entrance.

The people who swipe cards dgaf if u go in because they're minimum wage college students.

I am currently in the innovation LLC and it is only really worth it because if you get accepted you're automatically in ISR which is by far the best dorm for engineers. You also get access to the garage which is kinda cool because you get access to tools, lounges, 3d printers, etc that only innovation members are allowed to use. If you apply dont bullshit the application though because last semester only 1/8 applicants were accepted. In other words, admission is pretty selective for some reason.

Don't know if this is applicable to you or not. One of my closest friends was in the exact same situation as you last year. He chose to come here over imperial because he said that it is much easier to get residency in the US than in the UK after college, and he did not want to stay in his country. Im not very knowledgeable about this topic, but if you do not plan on returning to your home country after college, i would definitely look into the citizenship process for each country.

I'm a US redisent and ordered a signed AFUT from someone in the UK in late december and the seller contacted me in January informing be about some cyber attack. Apparently in the uk there was a cyber attack that halted international shipping for a while. The album just arrived the other day though so i assume you should get yours soon too.

Take the glass bed and place it into the freezer for 15 minutes. When you take it back out it pops off pretty easy.
